Allowable Compressive Stress = F, = 15,56 KSI
Maximum Allowable Moment = Mx = 16,074.50 Ft.-Lbs. > 4,798.25 Ft.-Lbs. 0, K.
Actual Moment = 4,798.25 Ft.-Lbs.
Therefore, 6" x 10" x 0.188" Aluminum (6063-T6 Alloy) Column is Aceptable.
Determine stresses at connections:
Check Connection of 4" x 8" Hip Rafters to 10" x 6" Ridge Beam:
Design Loads on Weld from RISA Analysis:
Shear = 3,777.86 Lbs.
Gravity = 630.00 Lbs,
Uplift = -684.00 Lbs.
Moment = 1,574.22 Ft.-Lbs.

Type Fastener: Thru-Bolts
Size fastener: 0.750 In.
Capacities of Fastener:
Shear = 5,000 Lbs, 4,53712 Lbs, 0. K.
Therefore, it is Acceptable to Use 3/4" Diameter 304 Stainless Steel Thru-Bolts to Attach Columns
to End Run Beams @ Top.
Determine Reguired Size of Foundation:
Design Loads for Foundation from RISA Analysis:
Shear = 490.11 Lbs.

Soil Bearing Capacity = 21,333.33 Lbs, > 8,616.00 Lbs.
Weight of Footer = 9,280.00 Lbs. > -6,108.00 Lbs.
Determine Required Footer Reinforcement:

Size Bar = #7
Area of Bar = 0.6 In.2
Number Bars Required = 6.912

Re: Orlando Sanford Airport in Sanford, Fl-
Nat Mr. Towell:
We have been notified that there are a grouping of (3) conduits and (1) pipe extending through
the location of one of the footers for the referenced prc icct. The conduits are located
approximately 21 " from the top of tooter and the pipe is located approximately 3'-0- from top of
footer. This is acceptable if horizontal and vertical r5 bars are added on each side to provide a
reinforcing cage around of each set of conduits and pipe.
if there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call us.
