ORDINANCE NO. 3244
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF
SOUTH WHITE CEDAR ROAD AND OTHER CERTAIN UNNAMED
STREETS LYING BETWEEN STATE ROAD 46 AND STATE ROAD
417 AND BETWEEN UPSALA ROAD AND SOUTH KENNEL ROAD;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE
DATE·
WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the City of Sanford to close,
vacate and abandon a portion of South White Cedar Road and other certain unnamed
streets lying between State Road 46 and State Road 417 and between Upsala Road and

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on January 9, 1995, for conszderatiofr
and determinations to whether or not the closing, vacating and abandoning a portio~ --
of South White Cedar Road and other certain unnamed streets lying between State'
Road 46 and State Road 417 and between Upsala Road and South Kennel Road should
be allowed; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the closing, vacating and
abandoning of that certain property does not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan
of the City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort,
order, convenience, and welfare will be promoted by such closing, vacating and
abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: A portion of South White Cedar Road and other certain unnamed
streets lying between State Road 46 and State Road 417 and between Upsala Road and
South Kennel Road, more particularly described as follows:
All of that road lying adjacent to the East Line of Lots 33,
48, and 49, SMITH'S THIRD SUBDIVISION, according to
the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 86, of the
Public Records of Seminole County, Florida, AND ALSO all
of that road lying between said Lots 33 and 48, SMITH~S
THIRD SUBDIVISION, and
All of that Road lying adjacent to the West Line of that part
of Lot 4, LESS the North 115.00 feet; AND ALSO lying
adjacent to the West Line of Lots 5 and 6; AND ALSO lying
adjacent to the West Line of that part of Lot 7 lying North
of the SCL Railroad Right-of-Way; AND ALSO all of that
road lying between Lots 6 and 7, all in M.M. SMITH'S
SUBDIVISION, according to the plat thereof as recorded
in Plat Book 1, Page 55, of the Public Records of Seminole
County, Florida, and
The West ½ of that road lying adjacent to the East Line of
Lot 30, SMITH'S THIRD SUBDIVISION, according to the
plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 86, of the
Public Records of Seminole County, Florida, AND ALSO all
that road lying between Lots 34 and 35, said SMITH'S
THIRD SUBDIVISION
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of this ordinance proves to
be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity,
force or effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
