Impact resistant, the flange also resists breakage when bolts are over -tightened. The GASKET is the standard AWWW_ A Mechanical joint gasket which has been in use over 45 years. They are designed to provide a supplementary water supply connection for automatic sprinkler systems of all types, as required by NFPA 13. Both straight and 900 pattern Fire Department Connections are cast brass with brass clapper, brass swivel couplings, and a brass hinge pin. The words "AUTO SPKR" and "F.D. Conn." are cast in raised letters on the body of the Fire Department Connection. The clapper design allows for one or both inlets to be pressurized during operation. Fire Department Connections are generally installed 18" to 5' above finished grade, however local codes and standards may contain special requirements with regard to specific location. Wall Plates The Wall Plates are constructed of corrosion resistant aluminum alloy with cast -in raised letters. The raised letters on the round Wall Plate are AUTO. SPKR." and "FIRE DEPT. CONNECTION." Caps The breakaway Caps for the protection of the 2'/2" inlets on the Fire Department Connection are supplied in heavy-duty plastic or cast aluminum alloy. They can be easily attached to the swivel lugs of the Fire Department Connection using the eye bolts supplied with the Caps. kT SA 3 ,•b I Model: 86A (straight pattern FDC) 868 (900 pattern FDC) Size: Outlet - 4" pot mm) N.P.T. The PJD dust collector is a compact, self-cleaning, continuous -duty, pulse -jet unit. It ships in major assemblies, facilitating fast installation and setup. The all -welded, rugged design, coupled with factory assembled sections, means fewer field man-hours during the installation process. PJD collectors maintain the high filtration efficiency of 99.9 % by weight with minimal pressure drop. The PJD's effective filtration capacity permits filtered air to be recirculated in -plant where allowable. The PJD collector features a bottom -bag removal system ideal for applications where headroom is practically nonexistent. This collector is also an excellent choice for bin venting applications.
