AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, ~fi~NDING
ORDINANNCE NO. 1893 OF SAID CITY; SAID ORDINANCE BEING
THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; PROVIDING A REVISED
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; PROVIDING FOR GOALS, OBJECTIVES AND
POLICIES OF LAND USE ELEMENT, TRAFFIC CIRCULATION
ELEMENT, HOUSING ELEMENT; PUBLIC FACILITIES ELEMENT
WHICH INCLUDES SANITARY SEWER, SOLID WASTE, POTABLE
WATER, DRAINAGE, AND AQUIFER RECHARGE; CONSERVATION
ELEMENT, RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE ELEMENT
INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATION ELEMENT, CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT ELEMENT, AND PROVIDING GENERAL MONITORING
AND EVALUATION CRITERIA; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION,
SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford's Planning and Zoning Commission, as
the City's local planning agency, held a public hearing on April 13, 1992,
to consider amending the City Of Sanford's Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the city of sanford has complied with the requirements
and procedures to amend adopted comprehensive plans as set forth in the
Florida Statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The City Commission specifically adopts the Future
Land Use Goals, Objectives and Policies including the Future Land Use Map,
the Water Resources map, the Potable Water Service area and Wellfield Cones
of Influence Map, the Soil Types Maps of North and South Sanford; the
Residential Historic Area Map, the Residential Historic Resources Map, the
City Owned Land and Facilities Map, the other Public Lands and Facilities
Map, the Vegetative Communities Map, the Public Lands and Facilities
Inventory Tabled the Endangered and Potentially Endangered Fauna Species and
Indigenous to Habitats Identified Within the City of Sanford Table, and the
Endangered and Threatened Species Indigenous to the Sanford Area Table; the
Traffic circulation Goals, Objectives and Policies and the Year 2005 Major
Thoroughfares Plan Map; Housing Goals, Objectives and Policies; Public
Facilities Goals Objectives and Policies including Sanitary Sewer, Solid,
Waste, Drainage, Groundwater Acquifer Recharge and Potable Water and the
Public Facility Needs and Related Costs: 1991-2005 Table and the Long Range
Public Facilities Needs: 1997-2005 Table; Conservation Goals, Objectives and
Policies; Recreation and Open Space Goals, Objectives and Implementing
Policies; Intergovernmental Coordination Goals, Objectives and Policies;
Capital Improvement Goals, Objectives and Policies including Concurrency
Management, short Range Capital Improvement Needs: 1991-1996 Table and Long
Range capital Improvement Needs: 1997-2005 Table; General Monitoring and
Evaluation Criteria; a Consistency Review Matrix for the State Plan; a
Consistency Review Matrix for the Comprehensive Regional Policy Plan; and
the Public Participation Program and Prooedures.
SECTION 2: Specific authority is hereby granted to codify and
incorporate this Ordinance in the existing Code of Ordinances of the City of
sanford.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of this
ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not
be held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or part
of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
