AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AMENDING
ORDINANCE 2065 OF SAID CITY. SAID ORDINANCE BEING A
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN
ELEMENT TO PROVIDE SMALL-SCALE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
AMENDMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO DESIGNATED
PROPERTY LYING BETWEEN HOLLY AVENUE AND MAPLE AVENUE AND
BETWEEN WEST llTH STREET AND WEST 12TH STREET; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission, as the City's governing body, held a
public hearing on August 24, 1992, to consider amending the Future Land Use
Concept Map of the Future Land Use Plan Element of the Comprehensive Plan,
Sanford, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford has complied with requirements and
procedures to amend adopted comprehensive plans as set forth in Florida
Statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That portion of the Future Land Use Plan Element
referenced as the Future Land Use Concept Map be amended by changing the
destination from Medium Density Residential to Commercial, including certain
lands incorporated into the City of Sanford, Florida. Changing that certain
property lying between Holly Avenue and Maple Avenue and between West llth
Street and West 12th Street from MR-2, Multiple Family Residential, to GC-2,
General commercial. Said property being more specifically described as
follows:
Lots 1 through 10, Block 13, Tier 10, and that certain
North-South alley lying between Lots 1 through 5 and Lots
6 through 10, Block 13, Tier 10, E. R. Trafford's Map
according to the Plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 1,
Pages 56 through 64 of the Public Records of Seminole
County, Florida. and alterations) shall be as follows:
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of this
ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be
held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or part of
this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
