SECTION 3.0 SIGNS IDENTIFYING ACTIVITY CONDUCTED ON 1tREMISES
Signs itlearifying the name and type of activity conducted on the same premises spa)) be permitted
for the uses listed below. Site development permits and certificates of completion shall be required
for all such signs unless otherwise excepted by this ordinance.
A. Multiple -Family Dwelling. One sign not exceeding sixteen (16) square feet in sign surface:

1. All wall foundation areas to be approved by a licensed geo-technical
engineering firm for adequacy of support and drainage.

3. Horizontal bond beams shall be installed as noted on the plan details
starting from the top course downward.
4. Vertical control joints shall be installed using tongue and groove block
along a continuous vertical joint Control joints shall be no further
than 40 feet apart. When a control joint falls close to a wall elevation
change, the joint shall be installed at the elevation change. A vertical
control joint shall be installed whenever the size of the concrete
masonry units (CMU — concrete block) changes, ie. from 12" to 8" wide.
5. Six inch diameter PVC pipe sleeves shall be installed approximately one
foot above the base of the wall at locations designated by Burkett Eng—
ineering. These sleeves shall be connected to the rear lot drainage
system in the wall area.
6. The wall cap shall be finished such that a fence or railing system can be
installed along the top of the wall using approved concrete anchors or
an epoxy bolt bonding system for fastening.
7. An adequate drainage system or path shall be provided at the bottom of
the retaining wall to remove standing water from the foundation area
during low water level periods for the retention pond
8. The contractor shall provide a minimum of a three foot wide sodded
protective border or other approved slope protection along the lower face
of the wall to protect its foundation during the stabilization/grow—in
period of the dry retention pond just west of the wall's base.
9. The concrete shall be allowed to cure for a minimum of seven days before
any backfil is placed behind the wall.
10. No heavy equipment shall be allowed within twelve feet of the top area of
the retaining wall
11. Handraling or fencing shall be as designated by others.

General Notes
1. This work is to buid a retaining wall behind Lots #16 to #20 to stabilize
the slopes at the existing rear lot design elevations.
2. The location of the retaining walls shall be as shown on the Sitework
Construction Plans by Burkett Engineering, Inc. Top of wall(TW) and (BW)
bottom are also shown. See profie views for bottom of footing elevation
3. All construction is to be on clean undisturbed soi or sand fil with a
minimum compaction of U00 psf.
4. All block wall cells shall be filed with concrete in a continuous pour.
All concrete is to be a minimum of 2500 psi strength after 28 days.
5. All reinforcing steel to be ASTM A36 with Fy = 36,000 psi minimum.
6. Rebar shall be installed as shown in poured cells of the wall and the
foundation slab. Rebar splices shall have a minimum 18" lop.

developer.
13. The Contractor shall be responsible for protecting all new and existing
improvements as well as personnel and all on site property.
14. Removed and unwanted material shall become the property of the
Contractor who shall dispose of some in an appropriate and legal manner.

foundation slab. Rebar splices shall have a minimum 18" lap.
7. The bottom of the footing for the retaining wall shall be set on original
undisturbed clean soil with a minimum cover of sateen inches.
8. The block wall shall have horizontal reinforcement as stated.
9. Two inch diameter PVC weep holes shall be installed every six feet at
approximately one foot above the base of the wall.
10. Vertical expansion joints shall be installed at a maximum of 40 feet
along the wall length using tongue and groove blocks at the joint.
11. The wall cap shall be a poured lintel with rebar, curved to shed water.
12. Exterior wall finish or special textured block shall be specified by
developer.
13. The Contractor shall be responsible for protecting all new and existing
improvements as well as personnel and oll.on site property.
14. Removed and unwanted material shall become the property of the
Contractor who shall dispose of same in an appropriate and legal manner.
15. All dimensions and existing conditions are to be verified in the field by
the Contractor prior to starting work. Any significant deviations are to
reported to the Engineer.

1. This work is to build a retaining wall behind Lots #16 to #20 to stabilize
the slopes at the existing rear lot design elevations.
2. The location of the retaining walls shall be as shown on the Sitework
Construction Plans by Burkett Engineering, Inc. Top of wall(TW) and (BW)
bottom are also shown. See profile views for bottom of footing elevation.
3. All construction is to be on clean undisturbed soil or sand fill with a
minimum compaction of 2,500 psf.
4. All block wall cells shall be filled with concrete in a continuous pour.
All concrete is to be a minimum of 2,500 psi strength after 28 days.
5. All reinforcing steel to be ASTM A36 with Fy = 36,000 psi minimum.
