2.2 PANELS
A. Construct panels of 10 gage (0.135) steel wire, woven into 2%1" rectangular mesh and securely welded to a
1-1/4"x 1-1/4% 1/8"steel angle frame. Frames shall have 7/8" x 7/16" slotted holes for mounting to posts
and adjacent panels. Panels four to seven feet wide shall have one 1/4" x 3/4" stiffener welded to the frame.
Wider panels shall have two stiffeners.

2.3 POSTS
A. Fabricate posts of 2" x 2" x 14 gage (0.083) steel tubing. Weld a 2" x 7" x 1/4" steel flat base plate to each,

with two 7/16" round holes for floor anchoring. Tack weld a decorative cap to the top. Drill posts with %" holes
to accept hardware for mounting panels and doors. Set hole spacing to leave a 3-1/4" sweep space below
bottom panels. Posts shall have a 2" projection above the panels.

2.4 DOORS

A. Construct doors of 10 gage (0.135) steel wire, woven into 2" x 1" rectangular mesh and securely welded to a
1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x3/16" steel angle frame. Securely weld 1/4% 3/4" steel flat stiffeners, two horizontal and one
vertical, to the frame behind the mesh. Supply two gate posts and three 4" x 4" x 10 gage tight -pin hinges with
each door.

a. Outside Face of Door: Provide Standard Front (SF-1 Key Lock. Furnish with Best Cylinder less core. Also, weld

WOVEN WIRE PARTITIONS DESIGN NOTES
WIRE CRAFTERS STYLE 840 WOVEN WIRE PARTITIONS
1. Woven wire partition is based on Style 840 as manufactured by Wire Crafters, Inc., Louisville, KY, 800/626-1816,
wwwwirecrafters.com.
2. Panels are stacked horizontally between the posts. They are not interlude upright.
3. Stock panels are available in heights of 4' or 5', and widths of 1' to 10' in 1' increments. Use of stock panels will
allow quick shipment.
4. Wire Crafters has agreed to fabricate a large number of custom 1'-10" wide x 4'-0" high panels for BellSouth.
These panels will allow easy reconfiguration of Collocator spaces into smaller areas, each with its own door; refer to
the standard details for prototype layouts. Wire Crafters will maintain a stock of these special -width panels for quick
shipment.
5. Stock posts are 2" x 2" square, and are available in heights of 8'-5-1/4", 10'-5-1 /4"and 12'-5-1 /4".
6. Standard hole layout allows for a 3-1/4" sweep space below bottom panel.
7. Posts project 2" above top of wall panels.
8. Standard post baseplate is 2" x 7" with holes for 2 anchors.
9. Standard finish is one coat of gray acrylic enamel on all nonplated parts.
10. Systems are supplied with all erection hardware needed.
11. Doors into collocators' spaces should typically have a Standard Front (SF-1) Key Lock on the exterior, and a
(SB-4) Lever Handle on the interior. Lock should be supplied with a Best Cylinder less core. Wire Crafters has agreed
to exterior side of doors supplied on BellSouth projects, for ADA compliance.
