I. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL CONDITIONS AND DIMENSIONS PRIOR
TO ANY WORK AND SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL WORK AND MATERIALS
INCLUDING THAT FURNISHED BY SUBCONTRACTORS.
2. DIMENSIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER DRAWINGS; DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS TO
DETERMINE ANY LOCATION. THE OWNER SHALL BE NOTIFIED IF ANY DISCREPANCY
OCCURS PRIOR TO CONTINUING WITH WORK.
3. DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN PORTIONS OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ARE
NOT INTENDED. THE CONTRACTOR IS TO CLARIFY WITH THE ARCHITECT AND
OWNER ANY SUCH DISCREPANCIES PRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK-
4- THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REPORT TO THE ARCHITECT ANY ERRORS,
INCONSISTENCIES, OR OMISSIONS HE MAY DISCOVER. THE

5. ALL PLAN DIMENSIONS ARE FROM FACE OF STUD OR FACE OF FINISH OR
FACE OF CMU UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
6. ALL WORK AND MATERIALS SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF ALL
FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND OSHA CODES AND LOCAL RESTRICTIONS.
7. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO LOCATE
ALL EXISTING MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL SERVICES AND DISTRIBUTION
SYSTEMS WHETHER SHOWN OR NOT, AND TO PROTECT THEM FROM
DAMAGE_ THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BEAR ALL EXPENSE OR REPAIR OR
REPLACEMENT OF UTILITIES OR OTHER PROPERTY DAMAGED BY
OPERATIONS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THE WORK-

9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPLACEMENT OR
REMEDY OF ANY FAULTY, IMPROPER OR INTERIOR MATERIALS OR
WORKMANSHIP WHICH SHALL APPEAR WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR OR AS
OTHERWISE SPECIFIED FOR A SPECIFIC COMPONENT AFTER THE COMPLETION
AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT.
10. NOT USED.
11_ SILICONE CAULK SHALL BE USED AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS
INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1, METAL DOOR AND WALL CONNECTION
2. CONDUIT AND PIPE PENETRATIONS AT WALLS AND CEILING_
12. CONTRACTOR IS TO CLEAN WORK AREAS ON A DAILY BASIS SO AS NOT TO
ACCUMULATE DEBRIS.
13. UPON PROJECT COMPLETION CONTRACTOR IS TO CLEAN WORK AREAS AND
JOB SITE THOROUGHLY SO AS TO REMOVE ALL CONSTRUCTION DUST,
RESIDUE, AND DEBRIS.
14. DO NOT OBSTRUCT STREETS, SIDEWALKS, ALLEYS OR OTHER
RIGHT-OF-WAY WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING PROPER PERMITS_
15. ALL WORK SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED WITH QUALITY WORKMAN!3HIP OF THE
HIGHEST INDUSTRY STANDARDS. ALL MATERIALS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN
STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS AND
RECOMMENDATIONS. MATERIALS AND METHODS SHALL CONFORM TO THE
APPROPRIATE NATIONAL TRADE BOOK; I.E. TILE COUNCIL OF AMERICA
HANDBOOK FOR CERAMIC TILE INSTALLATION, ARCHITECTURAL WOODWORK
INSTITUTE, "QUALITY STANDARDS," ETC.
16. THE OWNER MAY PERFORM ADDITIONAL WORK THAT IS NOT PART OF THIS
CONTACT WITH HIS OWN FORCES, UNDER SEPARATE CONTRACTS
AND/OR WITH OTHER CONTRACTORS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COOPERATE
WITH THE OWNER AND OTHER CONTRACTORS AND COORDINATE HIS WORK
WITH THE OWNER SO THAT THE WORK BY OTHERS CAN BE
INCORPORATED IN A TIMELY MANNER.
17. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR JOB SAFETY, AND SHALL
TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO ENSURE SAFETY OF WORKS AND
OCCUPANTS AT ALL TIMES.
18. ALL ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, AND PLUMBING WORK SHALL
CONFORM TO STATE AND LOCAL REQUIREMENTS.
19. REMODEL WORK SHALL NOT OBSTRUCT, OR CAUSE TO BE INOPERATIVE, EXISTING
FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS. MODIFICATION TO FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS SHALL BE
PERFORMED BY A FIRE ALARM CONTRACTOR, WHO SHALL OBTAIN A PERMIT FROM
THE BUILDING DEPT. PRIOR TO WORK.
20. THE CONTRACTOP SHALL MAINTAIN IN GOOD CONDITION, ONE COMPLETE SET OF
CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS WITH ALL REVISIONS, ADDLENDUMS AND CHANGE
ORDERS ON THE PREMISES AT ALL TIMES. THE DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE KEPT
UNDER THE CARE OF THE JOB SUPERINTENDENT.
21. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH AND INSTALL ALL MINOR ITEMS WHICH ARE
OBVIOUSLY AND REASONABLE NECESSARY TO COMPLETE ANY INSTALLATION
22. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO ISOLATE
ALL WORK AREAS IN SUCH A WAY AS TO PROTECT THE ADJACENT BUILDING
SPACES AND STRUCTURE.
23. MINIMUM FLAME SPREAD CLASSIFICATION OF INTERIOR FINISH SHALL
CONFORM TO THE BUILDING CODE AND LOCAL GOVERNING BUILDING
CODES/ORDINANCES.
24. ACCEPT PREMISES AS FOUND. OWNER ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE
CONDITION OF THE EXISTING BUILDING SITE OR EXISTING STRUCTURES AT THE TIME
OF BIDDING OR THERE AFTER.
25. GYPSUM WALLBOARD AND SUSPENDED CEILING SYSTEMS SHALL CONFORM TO
REQUIREMENTS OF LOCAL BUILDING CODES AND ORDINANCES.
26. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO SECURE ALL
NECESSARY PERMITS AND APPLICATIONS.
27. ALL NEW DRYWALL AND ABUTTING SURFACES ARE TO BE FINISHED TO A
SMOOTH PAINTABLE SURFACE.
28. ALL EXISTING INTERIOR WALLS ARE TO BE PATCHED AND POINTED UP AS
REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A SMOOTH UNIFORM PAINTABLE SURFACE.
29. GYPSUM WALL BOARD SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH ALL CORNER BEADS, TRIM,
ACCESSORIES, MOULDINGS, ETC., AS REQUIRED FOR COMPLETION, TAPED AND
SANDED READY FOR PAINT BY DRYWALL CONTRACTOR. ALL WORK WILL BE
