You don't have to cross - connect multiple components designed for other purposes. It's simple and economical — there's less wiring and significantly lower hardware and installation costs. The result: fewer complications and higher profits for you, plus more pricing flexibility to meet and beat competitive quotes. oc:c L t0000LF 0 5118 Remote Annunciator Better fire protection, too. Unlike the McCullough transmitter, which cannot always isolate trouble by specific location, the 5107 offers eight supervised zones for fire reporting 24 hours a day ... and it immediately alerts, on -site, if there's a telephone line problem. The new, optional 5118 remote annunciator indicates which of the protection zones is in alarm or trouble, alerting police and fire fighters to the exact trouble spot — an immense advantage. You can install up to three remote annunciators with the 5107 communicator, using the 5108 annunciator interface board. It plugs directly into the 5107 control board. Uses regular phone lines. Capable of reporting to all major alarm company receivers. Two phone line capability, each with Its own built-in line fault monitor and line seizure relay. i Eight supervised 24-hour fire zones. t EEPROM reprogramming, up to 1,000 times per chip. 24-hour test timer with built-in programming. Supervised bell output. j S Transient voltage protection. ` UO listed, Factory Mutual listed, approved under NFPA 71 for fire reporting. i Inputs may be programmed } for instant or delay. f t A competitive edge on every bid. The extra protection you can offer with the Silent Knight 5100 series, combined with lower installation and monitoring costs, gives you a competitive edge on every job you bid. Every McCullough installation is a particular sales opportunity. Like all Silent Knight systems, this one is easy to install and easy to service. It's UL, FM and CFM listed, BSA approved, and listed under NFPA 71 for fire reporting. 5506/5510 Programmers. III Programming is easy. The 5107 can be programmed with the Silent Knight 5506 desktop programmer or the 5510 field programmer. The 5506 plugs into a standard three -prong 110/VAC outlet, and programs both bipolar fuse PROMS and electronically erasable PROMS. The battery -operated 5510 is designed for installers. It you're tired of getting burned by high leased line charges, escape to our 5100 series fire report- ing system. Only Silent Knight guarantees every system sold against lightning strikes! We'll even repair or replace the Silent Knight equipment, if necessary, should lightning disable it during the one-year warranty period. It's just another way Silent Knight and the 5107 Fire Monitoring/Reporting System make your selling and servicing easier. SILENT KNIGHT SECURITY SYSTEMS a Architect's Specifications The contractor shall provide a digital control/communicator to transmit the fire alarm and supervisory signals to a central station. The digital control/communicator shall be UL or FM listed for fire reporting to a central station and shall conform to the requirements of NFPA 71. The control/communicator shall be Silent Knight Model 5107, or equivalent. The control/communicator shall provide power and necessary components for eight supervised detection circuits. Two shall be Class A circuits and six shall be Class B. The detection circuits shall accommodate sprinkler flow switches, gate valve supervisory switches, thermal detectors and contact -type products of combustion detectors intermixed as desired and permitted by NFPA 71. The control/communicator shall have the capability to supervise two telephone lines, seize the phone line and send the alarm signal on one or both lines without the addition of any more equipment. It shall sound a local trouble signal if the telephone service is interrupted for longer than 45 seconds and it shall transmit a signal indicating the loss of phone line service to the central station over the remaining phone line. A signal shall also be transmitted indicating the restoral of phone service. The control/communicator shall be able to report the loss of either phone line without regard to which phone line failed first. if both lines fail, a local signal shall sound. The control/communicator shall have the ability to send a test signal to the central station every 24 hours. The test signal shall be able to be transmitted at a specific time of day or night by setting a program within the panel. The alarm signals transmitted to the central station shall indicate which of the eight zones is in alarm and which zones are in trouble. Restoral from alarm or trouble shall also be transmitted by zone. The control/communicator shall be capable of communicating to Silent Knight, Radionics or Ademco central station receivers. 5100 Series System Specifications Regulatory Listings/Approvals Approved under NFPA 71 for fire signalling UL 864 listed (NFPA Standard 71) Factory Mutual (FM) listed California Fire Marshall listed (CFM 7165-599:106) New York City BSA Approved Standard Components 9220 - 16.5 VAC, 45 VA Class II transformer EEPROM 6 - EOL resistors AC surge suppressor 12V, 6.5 AH battery Electrical outlet Handybox Optional Components Telephone connecting cords for the RJ31X jack 5510 or 5506 programmer to program EEPROM 5118 Remote Annunciator 5108 Annunciator Interface Board 7171 Class A loop module. (Converts a Class B circuit to Class A.) Input Circuits Eight zone circuits accommodate all contact -type devices such as combustion detectors, heat detectors, manual stations, flow switches, gate valve and sprinkler supervisory switches. Zone inputs include two Class A and six Class B circuits. Supervision A single open or ground fault, a low battery or loss of AC power will activate a local audible trouble signal, and the 5107 will report the trouble to the central station. Built-in telephone monitors detect the loss of phone line voltage, and activate the audible trouble signal while reporting to the central stations on the alternate line. A "watchdog" circuit monitors the microprocessor operation and resets it, if necessary, after any interruption caused by an external source. The 5107 will self -test and report to the central station every 24 hours. Supervised bell circuit is provided on revision J. units and later. Reporting The 5107 will seize the normal business lines when it reports, and can transmit information in three different programmable formats: Silent Knight FSK — high-speed format using four -digit account code/2-digit alarm code Radionics Hex — compatible with Radionics and updated Ademco receivers Expanded Radionics Hex Programming EEPROM programming lets you program the 5107 up to 1,000 times using the same chip, and makes it not vulnerable to memory loss in a power outage. Transient Voltage Protection The 5107 is protected from transient voltage damage caused by lightning or static electricity by: AC input protection using transorbs and metal oxide varistors (MOV) between panel and earth ground. Telephone circuit protection using MOV and an air gap between the 5100 and phone lines. Zone input protection using opto-isolators to protect Class A inputs and Zener diodes between Class B inputs and ground. Electrical Information Class II transformer (supplied): 16.5 VAC, 45 VA Built-in battery charger for 12V, 6.5 AH battery which will provide 24-hour standby power for 5107. Accessories connected will reduce standby time.
