4" FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTION STORZ
WITH LOCKS
1. Couplings' parts shall be made from extruded seamless
aluminum alloy 6061-T6 or 6061-T6 forging.
2. Coupling parts shall be hard -coat anodized not polished.
3. Gasket shall be made of molded black synthetic rubber
having a 65±5 durometer hardness.
4. The storz shall be interchangeable with all 4"storz fittings
already in use.
5.The locks shall be designed so that the caps and storz can be
lock together.

6. The locks shall be designed to allow proper compatibility of
other 4"storz connections already in use.
7. The storz shall be 4"storz x 4" national pipe thread (NPT)
females or 4"storz x 6" national pipe thread (NPT) female to be
determined by the fire department.
8. The cap shall be attached to the storz by a 1/8" vinyl covered
aircraft cable, 18" minimum length or a light weight aluminum
chain minimum 18" long.
