CONTACT THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT AT (407) 330-5673 FOR APPLICABLE PERMITS, AND TO SCHEDULE SITE INSPECTIONS. THE CITY LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS (LDR), AND FLORIDA STATE LAW REQUIRE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES, including those signsand pavement markingsou private property where the public is invited, TO MEET STATE STANDARDS adopted by the Florida Department of Transportation. Florida Statutes, Section 316.0747 states: "It is unlawful for any (governmental or) non -governmental entity to use any traffic control device at any place where the general public is invited, unless such device conforms to the uniform system of traffic control devices adopted by the Department of Transportation pursuant to this Chapter." The Manual on Uniform Traffic Devices (MUTCD), as adopted by the State requires: 1. All handicapped parking spaces shall have one symbol (F.D.O.T. Approved) sign plus one blue pavement symbol per space and 4" wide Blue parking A ;a space perimeter striping lines in addition to the regular 4" wide WHITE parking space stripping. Curbing adjacent to handicapped spaces shall be painted BLUE,(REFER TO F.D.C.A.'s ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS MANUAL) 8 A N 0�`j 2. ALL OTHER parking space striping lines shall be 4" wide WHITE (See. 3B-16). NOTE: (YELLOW SHALL NOT BE USED) 0 R D �J 3. Directional arrows on the pavement shall be WHITE (Sec. 313-17). 4. Pedestrian crosswalks shall be WHITE (Sec. 313-15). 5. Stop bars shall be WHITE (See. 313-14). 6. All driveways exiting, onto any public or private street shall be controlled by a High Intensity Grade 30" STOP SIGN. 24" STOP SIGNS shall be used internally. The clearance from the finished ground elevation to the bottom of all signs shall be at least 7 feet (Sec. 2A-23). 7. Lane lines between traffic lanes of travel in the same direction shall be WHITE (See. 313-2). 8. Centerlines between traffic lanes of travel in opposing directions shall be YELLOW (Sec. 3B-1), ALL WORK WITHIN THE CITY' RIGHTS -OF -WAY AND EASEMENTS REQUIRE A RIGHT-OF-WAY UTILIZATION PERMIT AND INSPECTION.
