For safety reasons, do not approach ends of tank or manways that are under test. 'ranks under pressure shall not be left unattended. If tanks are dropped or impacted after initial test, tank shall be retested and areas of impact be soaped to check for tank damage. If damage has occurred,do not attempt repairs. Notify the Owner before proceeding. SECTION III: BED & BACKF'ILL MATERIAL 1. Bed Material Homogeneous bedding is to consist of clean washed sand or pea gravel. Any other non -corrosive inert material may be utilized with -the approval of owner. Bedding material sha-ti be a minimum of twelve inches (1211) deep. The bedding must be placed along -the bottom sides of -the tank(s) to ensui,= . that the tank(s) are fully and evenly supported along the bottom quadrant. 2. Concrete Bed/Slab ,then required by tank manufacturer and site 0onditions) Concrete base slab must be 1.2" thick and reinforced with #5 steel rebars spaced 12" on center each way 'top and bottom and tie and must be a 4000 PSIG strength concrete mix. The slab must extend 12" beyond the outline of the tank in all directions, Anchor points as specified by tank manufacturer will be embedded into the concrete and -tie to the reba:r ;steel.
