Dear Hubert,
As per our telephone conversation today, it was brought
to my attention 'that the owner of the above project
wishes to change roof structure materials from steel joists
to pre-engineered wood trusses with built-in 6" slope.
This change is approved providing that the wood truss
manufacturer gives the owner copies of the pre-engineered
wood truss design for this installation sealed by their
engineer. However, just looking on their tables for the
span of 40, the 30 deep truss would have to have 2"x6"
high grade lumber to span safely, if their design is
safely within these limits I have,no objection to the
change.
