COSMETIC REMODEL***
Please include the following when construction begins at the above
noted location:
1. Remove paper towel dispensers in both bathrooms.
2. Remove abandoned electric wiring & conduit, abandoned framing
materials and debris above ceiling grids over sales floor after
existing pharmacy demo.
3. Any and all demolition as necessary to reflect the new perimeter
layout.
4. Remove the existing pharmacy after new pharmacy is constructed.
Include raised platform, valance, plumbing lines and electric
wiring, discard old pharmacy fixtures. Also include front
pharmacy office.
5. Remove the front vestibule inside the entrance doors to include
the rubber flooring material.
6. Remove the front wall exterior cavity sign and associated
wiring. NOTE: Sign will be relocated.
7. Remove the door and hardware from the existing fixture room.
NOTE: This room will become the employee lounge.
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION:
1. Construct a new manager's office as indicated on the Rite Aid
floor plan and per Rite Aid specs. Supply and install
countertop. NOTE: New dimensions of office.
2. Construct a new checkout platform as indicated on floor plan and
per Rite Aid specs.
3. Paint wall graphics per Rite Aid specs and floor plan.
4. Paint the interior columns. Color to be white as per Rite Aid
specs.

5. Replace damaged floor tiles as needed, approximately 90 square
feet.
6. Replace damaged ceiling tiles as needed, approximately 35 layin
tiles.
7. Install marlite as per steel layout: in manager's office, 1
full panel behind first soda cooler, the front of the store,
rear stockroom wall, right sidewall and new pharmacy and gate
pockets, as required, approximately 1,475 square feet.
8. Install paper towel holders in both baths (metal).
9. Relocate coolers as per steel layout on same wall.
10. Install stainless steel kickplate and push/pull hardware on
stockroom door.
11. Relocate front wall cavity sign under narrow window.
12. Install furring and drywall on rear exterior and side walls,
approximately 500 square feet.
13. Construct a new pharmacy per Rite Aid specs and floor plan.
NOTE: Soffit height to be 8 feet AFF (Ceiling height will be10' 0").
NOTE: New gate pockets detail. 14.
Construct a mirrored soffit across the pharmacy and stockroom wall
per Rite Aid specs and floor plan. Angle of mirror to be established
by Rite Aid rep. NOTE: Mirrors are not in line as typical.
15.
Install POG chases in pharmacy, checkout and manager's office per
Rite Aid specs. 16.
Construct a new Security Room per Rite Aid specs and floor plan.
NOTE: Do not install a raised platform floor. Include loft
above. 17.
Provide and install a countertop in the Employee Lounge. 18.
Install 8 feet of shelving in existing Se curity Room. 19.
Extend ceiling grids and tiles on sales floor after front pharmacy
demo to match the existing sales floor ceiling, approximately
650 square feet. 20.
Install new pharmacy fixtures and shelving, furnished by Rite Aid.
NOTE: Project Coordinator will establish installation dates.
21.
Relocate the existing stockroom shelving in order to construct the
new pharmacy. 22.
Repair ceiling grids in womans bath. 23.
Install floor tile in the employee lounge. 24.
Install drywall, furring and paint walls in employee lounge per Rite
Aid specs.

25. Install furring and drywall on the new front wall after new
windows are installed.
26. Install a wood frame and plywood enclosure around storefront to
include a ceiling and lockable doors for security during
reconstruction of storefront.
27. Modify the existing storefront to reflect the new floor plan.
Include relocation of the existing doors and frames. The new
masonry and brickwork to match the existing finishes. NOTE:
New storefront glass to be .030 laminated.
28. Install new floor tiles on sales floor to match the existing
after front pharmacy and vestibule demo, approximately 650
square feet.
29. Remove the right rear exterior door and frame. Install masonry,
furring, drywall and finish to match existing.
1. Install Rite Aid specified HVAC ducts and diffusers in new
pharmacy and employee lounge.
2. Relocate two (2) HVAC ducts and diffusers in front of store
after pharmacy demo. NOTE: Locate diffusers in line with the
existing on sales floor.
3. Raise the two (2) T-stats on the interior columns to
approximately 90" AFF.
4. Raise the single T-stat on the right sidewall to 90" AFF.
5. Relocate two (2) of the existing ducts and diffusers in the new
stockroom area.
1. Remove the electric outlet and conduit from the front exterior
wall.
2. Install electric wiring for front wall cavity sign.
3. Install new HP sodium light over rear exit door per Rite Aid
specs. Use V fixture.
4. Install buzzer system between stockroom and rear exit door per
Rite Aid specs (substitute surface contacts in place of electric
hinge). NOTE: Contacts on both exterior doors.
5. Install new emergency lighting per Rite Aid specs (exit lights
should be wired through this circuit). Use "T" fixtures with
R" fixture battery packs and "U" exterior fixtures.

ELECTRICAL (CONT.):
6. Install 2 LP sodium night lights per Rite Aid specs, use "M"
fixtures.
7. Replace light fixtures in bathrooms to ceiling mounted, use "C"
fixtures.
8. Relocate delivery bell at rear wall to above ceiling.
9. Remove exposed floor outlets and exposed wall outlets above
perimeter steel. Include the.subpanel and all exposed conduit
on front wall behind pharmacy and checkout.
10. New outlet(s) in lounge to be connected to' contactor in
manager's office.
11. Install convenience outlets at new checkout. Use two (2)
separate circuits. Install one (1) outlet every 4' section
12. Install convenience outlets in the new pharmacy. Use three (3)
separate circuits. Install six (6) outlets total.
13. Install convenience outlets in the manager's office (all per
Hite Aid specs.).
14. Install 5 cooler outlets as indicated on the floor plan and
steel layout. NOTE: If store has a freezer unit, it will
require a 208/240 volt circuit.
lb. Install lighting contactor switch in manager's office Per Rite
Aid specs. NOTE: Sign circuit should be on a`photocell through
the contactor.
16. Circuit the row of fixtures across the front of the store on a
switch in manager's office, per Rite Aid specs.
17. The row of lights nearest the entrance door should be on a five
minute time delay, per Rite Aid specs.
18. Install POS low voltage chases per Rite Aid specs at checkout,
pharmacy and manager's office.
19. Install new florescent light fixtures in pharmacy. Use "D-1"
fixtures on spacers. Circuit front row of lights on a switch
per Rite Aid specs, use three (3) rows of fixtures with 24 ft.
per row.
20. Install coaxial cable per Rite Aid specs and install a
convenience outlet in security room for the installation of
security system.
21. Install telephone wiring from junction boxes at manager's
office, checkout and pharmacy to the terminal board in the
stockroom. Include all phone jacks and junction boxes.
22. Install waterproof outlet on rear stockroom wall adjacent to
stockroom/sales door and on exterior wall of manager's office.
23. Install convenience outlets 12 inches above the ceiling at the
checkout, pharmacy and manager's office.

ELECTRICAL (CONT.):
24. Install lighting contactors per Rite Aid specifications.
25.Inspect the existing electrical panels, replace damaged breakers
and relabel as needed,
26. Remove the existing stockroom florescent light fixtures in order
to construct the new pharmacy. NOTE: Reuse the three (3) 8 foot
fixtures on sales floor.
27. Install new stockroom florescent light fixtures as per Rite Aid
specs, use "D" fixtures. NOTE: Install one (1) row
approximately 3 foot off the rear exterior wall behind new
pharmacy.
28. Extend the four (4) front rows of florescent light fixtures
after front pharmacy and vestibule demo. Use the existing 2
tube fixtures in the pharmacy and stockroom. Supply four (4)
additional 4 foot florescent fixtures, 2 tube.
1. Install rough -ins for new pharmacy sink and connect after
fixture is installed.
2~ Modify the existing sprinkler heads in new pharmacy to the new
ceiling height.
3. Relocate the water line on the left side exterior wall in the
stockroom in order to construct the new pharmacy.
GENERAL NOTES:
1. Provide a thirty (30) yard dumpster through Rite Aid set-up
period. Allow for six (6) loads of rubbish.
2. Provide storage trailer for fixtures, tools, material and
equipment.
3. Hang sign, "WE ARE REMODELING" and sign on rear exterior door.
4. Final billing should include the following: Release of Liens
from all subcontractors, warranties, copies of all permits and
drawings, and a Certificate of Occupancy.
5. Submit a Certificate of Insurance, a Schedule of Values, and two
2) sets of plans/drawings if applicable.
6. Installation of doors, hardware, electrical/lighting equipment,
floor/ceiling tile, paint, misce1laneous finishes, etc., to be
as per Rite Aid specs, unless otherwise noted. Any deviations
from typical specs requires prior approval from Rite Aid.
