ORDINANCE NO. 2057
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDAt
CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION
OF MANGOUSTINE AVENUE LYING BETWEEN SCL RR .o ~ . ~.~
R/W AND WEST 7TH STREET AND BETWEEN OLEANDER
AVENUE AND OLIVE AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the owners of that certain real property of
that portion of Mangoustine Avenue lying between SCL RR R/W and
West 7th Street and between Oleander Avenue and Olive Avenue
applied to the City of Sanford, Florida, their application to
have said property closed, vacated and abandoned; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 14, 1989,
for consideration and determination as to whether or not the
closing, vacating and abandoning of that street should be
allowed; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the
closing, vacating and abandoning of that certain property does
not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Sanford,
Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfcrt, order,
convenience, and welfare will be promoted by such closing,
vacating and abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That a portion of Mangoustine Avenue lying
between SCL RR R/W and West 7th Street and between Oleander
Avenue and Olive Avenue, more particularly described as follows:
That portion of Mangoustine Avenue lying
between lot 8, Blk 8, Tier 17, Seminole Park
and Lot 7, Blk 8, Tier 16, Seminole Park as
recorded in Plat Bk 2, Page 75 of the Public
Records of Seminole County, Florida.
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned.
S~CTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or
unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity,
force or effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
S~CTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
