1.0 GENERAL NOTES
STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS SHALL BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH PEMB DRAWINGS,
AND SITE DRAWINGS.
ALL DIMENSIONS AND CONDITIONS MUST BE VERIFIED IN THE FIELD. ANY
DISCREPANCIES SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ENGINEER BEFORE
PROCEEDING WITH THE AFFECTED PART OF THE WORK.
THE STRUCTURE IS DESIGNED TO BE SELF-SUPPORTING AND STABLE AFTER THE
BUILDING IS COMPLETE. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S SOLE RESPONSIBILITY TO
DETERMINE ERECTION PROCEEDURES AND SEQUENCE TO INSURE SAFETY OF THE
BUILDING AND ITS COMPONENTS DURING ERECTION. THIS INCLUDES THE ADDITION OF

2.0 FOUNDATIONS
FOUNDATIONS ARE DESIGNED FOR AN ASSUMED ALLOWABLE SOIL BEARING
PRESSURE OF 2,000 PSF. COMPACT FILL TO 95% OF MODIFIED PROCTOR MAXIMUM DRY
DENSITY (ASTM D1557).
3.0 CONCRETE
CONCRETE SHALL BE PER AN APPROVED MIX DESIGN PROPORTIONED TO ACHIEVE A
28-DAY STRENGTH OF 3,000 PSI WITH A PLASTIC AND WORKABLE MIX. SLUMP SHALL
BE FOUR INCHES PLUS OR MINUS ONE INCH. CONCRETE SHALL BE PLACED AND CURED
ACCORDING TO ACI STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS. SUBMIT PROPOSED MIX DESIGN
WITH RECENT FIELD CYLINDER OR LAB TESTS FOR REVIEW PRIOR TO USE. MIX SHALL
BE UNIQUELY IDENTIFIED BY MIX NUMBER OR OTHER POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION. MIX
SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENT OF ASTM C33 FOR COARSE AGGREGATE.
3.1 REINFORCING STEEL
REINFORCING STEEL SHALL BE ASTM A615 GRADE 60 DEFORMED BARS, FREE FROM
OIL, SCALE AND RUST, AND SHALL BE PLACED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TYPICAL
BENDING DIAGRAM AND PLACING DETAILS OF ACI STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
SECURE APPROVAL OF SHOP DRAWINGS PRIOR TO COMMENCING FABRICATION.
3.2 WELDED WIRE FABRIC
WELDED WIRE FABRIC SHALL CONFORM TO ASTM A-185, FREE FROM OIL, SCALE AND
RUST, AND SHALL BE PLACED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TYPICAL PLACING DETAILS
OF ACI STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS. MINIMUM LAP SHALL BE ONE SPACE PLUS
TWO INCHES.

5.0 PRE-ENGINEERED METAL BUILDING
THE PRE-ENGINEERED METAL BUILDING SHALL CONSIST OF ROOF DECK,
RIGID FRAMES, CANOPY FRAMING, GUTTERS AND DOWNSPOUTS, AND
FLASHING. DEVIATION FROM BAY SPACING SHOWN ON THE PLANS
SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED TO SUIT MANUFACTURERS STANDARDS.
THE SYSTEM SHALL BE DESIGNED AND DETAILED BY THE MANUFACTURER
TO SUSTAIN THE DESIGN LOADS SPECIFIED. THE DESIGN SHALL BE IN
ACCORDANCE TO AISC AND AISI SPECIFICATIONS AND MBMA "METAL
BUILDING SYSTEMS MANUAL" DESIGN PRACTICES, LATEST ISSUES.
THE MANUFACTURER SHALL BE REGULARLY ENGAGED IN METAL
BUILDING DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING. CURRENT MBMA MEMBERS ARE
APPROVED, OTHERS SHALL SUBMIT PRODUCT DATA FOR REVIEW.
SHOP DRAWINGS AND A LETTER OF CERTIFICATION SHALL BE SUBMITTED
FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL PRIOR TO FABRICATION, AND SHOP
DRAWINGS SHALL BEAR THE SIGNATURE AND IMPRESSED SEAL OF A
PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER REGISTERED IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. SHOP
DRAWINGS SHALL INDICATE THE DESIGN LOADS AND JOB NAME AND
NUMBER. THEY SHALL INCLUDE DRAWINGS OF THE FRAMING MEMBERS
WITH THE CONNECTIONS, THE ANCHOR BOLT PLAN, AND REACTIONS.
STANDARD CUT SHEETS OF THE ABOVE ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. STANDARD
CUT SHEETS MAY BE SUBMITTED FOR SECONDARY FRAMING CONNECTION
DETAILS, FLASHING, AND SHEETING DETAILS.

SCOPE
A. THE WORK, APPARATUS AND MATERIALS WHICH SHALL BE FURNISHED UNDER THESE

CONNECTION CHANGES OR ADJUSTMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF
THE SYSTEM AND EQUIPMENT. ALL WORKMANSHIP SHALL BE OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY
