Old Business:
Promenade in the Park
Huge Success
• Maybe a different time of year.
• Quartet was most expensive but most successful
• Docent tours were so successful that the Historical Society wants to do them for
their Holiday Party
• Maybe a yearly thing
• We need more food at the event

T-shirt sales
• New Fiscal year so we now have the budget for T shirts
• Need to design our own, hopefully next marketing meeting in November we will
have a basic design but the Hurricane may push things back
Traveling exhibits at the Ritz Theater HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital
• The Ritz thanked the museum at the Business mixer event
• Other coming in soon but I asked the shipping company to hold off due to
Hurricane flooding.
• Hospital is the next case
New Business:
Welcome new board member, Barbara Ferrell
• Moved here in the 1990's after visiting her daughter and fell in love
• Used to own the fire house
• Moved to Deland for 3 years but moved back
Elect Officers for 2022
• Ryan Handley - President
• Christina Hollerbach - Vice President
Set board meeting dates and times for 2023. All meetings will be held at 5:30 PM, selected meeting
dates are as follows:
• January 10, 2023
• April 4 2023
• July 12, 2023
• October 3, 2023
Grant and website
• Museum is working with Eric Dearbeck to work with the software PastPerfect to
make a website that shows the Museum artefacts
• Marketing working group wants to help
• Virtual Tour of the museum
• Fang-tastic Fest Video - depend on flooding, attempt to film one of the readings.
• As a division of the Parks and Recreation Department, Museum staff will provide
spooky crafts and read Sanford Ghost stories to participants.
Craft Day - Saturday November 26th, 2022
• Water marbling with shaving cream a possibility
• Coloring Dala Horses

Holiday Party—to be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 5 PM.
Hurricane Damage
• Museum fared better than most
• Staff was amazing at executing the hurricane plan
• The Museum did receive roof damage and has two internal leaks
• The threat isn't over yet with the river rising that the museum maybe flooded by
Lake Carolla
