ORDINANCE NO. 2020
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION o
OF GRAMVIEW AVENUE LYING BETMEN 25TH STREET
(SR 46) ~D EAST 24TH PLACE AM LYING BETMEN
SANFORD AVENUE AND POINSETTA A~E;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTI~ DATE.
MEREAS, the owners of that certain real property of
Grandview Avenue lying between 25th Street (SR 46) and East 24th
Place and lying between Sanford Avenue and Poinsetta Avenue
applied to the City of Sanford, Florida, their application to
have said property closed, vacated and abandoned; and
~EREAS, a public hearing was held on February 13,
1989, for consideration and determination as to whether or not
the closing, vacating and abandoning of that street should be
allowed; and
MEREAS, the City Co~ission has determined that the
closing, vacating and abandoning of that certain property does
not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Sanford,
Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort, order,
convenience, and welfare will be promoted by such closing,
vacating and abandoning.
NOW, ~EREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SA~ORD, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That a portion of Grandview Avenue lying
between 25th Street (SR 46) and East 24th Place and lying between
Sanford Avenue and Poinsetta Avenue, more particularly described
as follows:
That portion of Grandview Avenue lying
between the South 34' of Lots 39 and 63,
South Park, according to the plat thereof as
recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 62, of the
Public Records of Seminole County, Florida.
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned,
providing the city hereby reserves a utility easement over said
property.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or
unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity,
force or effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
