ORDINANCE NO, 1973
AN ORDINA~C~ OF T~E CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION
OF GRAnDVIEW AVE~OE LYING NORT~ OF AND
ABUTTING EAST 25TH STREET AND LYING BETWEEN
SABFORD AVENGE AND POINSETTA AVENUE:
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY~ CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the owners of that certain real property
abutting Grandview Avenue lying North of and abutting East 25th
Street and lying between Sanford Avenue and Poinsetta Avenue,
applied to the City of Sanford, Florida, their application to
have said property closed, vacated and abandoned; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Septe~er 12,
1988, for consideration and determination as to whether or not
the closing, vacating and abandoning of that alley should be
allowed; and
WHEREAS, the City Co~ission has determined that the
closing, vacating and abandoning of that certain property does
not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Sanford,
Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort, order,
convenience, and welfare will be promoted by such closing,
vacating and abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That a portion of Grandview Avenue lying
North of and abutting East 25th Street and lying between Sanford
Avenue and Poinsetta Avenue, more particularly described as
follows:
That portion of Grandview Avenue lying
between Lots 41, 42 and 43 and Lots 65, 66,
67, South Park, according to the plat thereof
as recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 62 of the
Public Records Of Seminole County, Florida;
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned,
providing the city hereby reserves a utility and drainage
easement over said property more particularly described as
Easements "A", "B"and"C"inExhibit 1 attached hereto and

incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of
this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
