AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1097 OF SAID CITY;
SAID ORDINANCE BEING A ZONING PLAN; SAID
AMENDMENT CHANGING THE ZONING OF A PORTION OF
THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING BETWEEN U.S. 17-
92 AND C.E. 427 AND BETWEEN AMERICANA
BOULEVARD AND LAKE MARY BOULEVARD EXTENDED
EASTERLY FROM MR-2 (MULTIPLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL DWELLING) DISTRICT TO GC-2
(GENERAL COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 1097 of the City of
Sanford, Florida, passed and adopted December 11, 1972, said
ordinance being the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Sanford, Florida, regulating and restricting the location and use
of buildings, structures, land, and water from trade, industry,
residence or other purposes, be and the same is hereby amended as
follows:
Government Lot 1, and that part of the South
half of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 lying West
of the East line of the Sanford Grant,
Section 11, Township 20 South, Range 30 East,
Seminole County, Florida; LESS a parcel of
land being a portion of the Moses E. Levy
Grant and all of Government Lot 1 of Section
11, Township 20 South, Range 30 East. Being
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said
Government Lot 1 run North 01°29'57'' East
along the Easterly line of said Government
Lot 1 and its Northerly prolongation for a
distance of 660.97 feet; thence run South
89°53'23'' West for a distance of 53.00 feet to
a point of curvature of a circular curve
concave to the South; thence from a tangent
bearing of South 84°23'47" West run
Southwesterly along the arc of said circular
curve having a radius of 1522.40 feet and a
central angle of 26~52'15" for an arc distance
of 713.98 feet to the point of tangency;
thence run South 57°31'32" West for a distance
of 646.73 feet to a point of curvature with a
circular curve concave to the Northwest;
thence run Southwesterly along the arc of
said last mentioned circular curve having a
radius of 626.20 feet and central angle of
7003'14'' for an arc distance of 77.09 feet to
a point which bears South 25°25'14" East from
the radius point of last mentioned circular
curve; thence run South 00047'50" West for a
distance of 47.07 feet to a concrete

monument; said last mentioned concrete
monument being the Northwest corner of Lot 8,
Block S, SUNLAND ESTATES as recorded in Plat
Book 11 at Pages 16 through 22 of the Public
Records of Seminole County, Florida; thence
run North 89°55'27'' East along the Northerly
line of said Block S, SUNLAND ESTATES and the
Southerly line of aforementioned Government
Lot 1 and its Westerly prolongation for a
distance of 1318.14 feet to the Point of
Beginning. All lands lying and being in
Seminole county, Florida. Containing 12.380
Acres more or less.
be and the same is hereby rezoned from MR-2 (Multiple Family
Residential Dwelling) District to GC-2 (General Commercial)
District.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
