AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, ~ ' ~;
TO ANNEX WITHIN THE CORPO~TE ~EA OF THE ~ ~
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, UPON ADOPTION OF o __ :~
SAID ORDINANCE, A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN ~ ~ ~
PROPERTY LYING BEWT~EN ~ST 25TH STREET AND ~ ~
AIRPORT BOULEV~D AND BETWEEN SEABO~D ~
COASTLINE RAILROAD AND RIDGEWOOD AVENUE; SAID
PROPERTY BEING SITUATED IN SEMINOLE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VOLUNTARY
ANNEXATION PROVISIONS OF SECTION 171,044,
FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,
CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of
the City of Sanford, Florida, a petition containing the names of
the property owners in the area described hereinafter requesting
annexation to the corporate area of the City of Sanford, Florida,
and requesting to be included therein; and
~EREAS, the Property Appraiser of Seminole County,
Florida, having certified that there is one property owner in the
area to be annexed and that said property o~er has signed the
Petition for ~nexation; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the property
described hereinafter is reasonably compact and contiguous to the
corporate areas of the City of Sanford, Florida, and it has
further been determined that the annexation of said property will
not result in the creation of any enclave; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, Florida, is in a position
to provide municipal services to the property described herein,
and that the City Co~ission of the City of Sanford, Florida,
deems it in the best interest of the City to accept said petition
and to annex said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY TEE PEOPLE OF T~ CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the property described below, situated
in Seminole County, Florida, be and the same is hereby annexed to
and made a part of the City of Sanford, Florida, pursuant to the
voluntary annexation provisions of Section 171.044, Florida
statutes:
Beginning 32 chains West and 12 chains South
of the Northeast corner of Section 2,
Township 20 South, Range 30 East, Seminole
County, Florida; run thence West 18.30 chains
to the South Florida Railway, now known as
the Atlantic Coast Railway; thence South-
westerly along the East side of the said
railway 6 75 chains; thence East 21.57 chains
North 7 degrees 10' East to point of
beginning, lying and being situate in
Seminole County, Florida;
LESS AND EXCEPT
Commence at a point 32 chains West and 12
chains South of the Northeast corner of
Section 2, Township 20 South, Range 30 East,
Seminole County, Florida, and run N.88°58'18"W
1219.73 feet to a point on the Easterly
right-of-way line of the Seaboard Coastline
Railroad, said point being the point of
beginning, thence run S.34°21'09"W along said
Easterly right-of-way line 179.74 feet,
thence run N.88°58'l18"E 339.79 feet, thence
run N.0°44'42"E 150.19 feet, thence run
N.88°58'18"W 240.30 feet to the point of
beginning.
All property located in Seminole County,
Florida.
SECTION2: That upon this ordinance becoming effec-
tive, the property owner and any resident on the property
described herein shall be entitled to all the rights and
privileges and immunities as are from time to time granted to
residents and property owners of the City of Sanford, Florida, as
further provided in Chapter 171, Florida Statutes, and shall
further be subject to the responsibilities of residence or
ownership as may from time to time be determined by the governing
authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions of
said Chapter 171, Florida Statutes.

SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
