AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER
1, 1982, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1983, PRO-
VIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS, AND EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has prepared and submitted
a budget of revenues and expenditures of the City of Sanford,
Florida, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1982, and
ending September 30, 1983, in accordance with the Charter of
the City of Sanford, Florida, and upon consideration thereof,
said budget of revenues and expenditures was adopted and ap-
proved as the budget of said City for the fiscal year beginning
October 1, 1982, and ending September 30, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the City Commissioner of the City of Sanford,
Florida, are of the opinion that the several items of expenditures
for said fiscal year beginning October 1, 1982 and ending Septem-
ber 30, 1983, are reasonable, necessary and proper for the admin-
istration of the affairs of said City and the proper conduct
of said City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That said budget of revenues and expendi-
tures of said City of Sanford, Florida, for the fiscal year
beginning October 1, 1982, and ending September 30, 1983,
approved by Resolution of the City Commission of the City of
Sanford, Florida, on the 27th day of September, A.D., 1982, a
copy of which is attached hereto and hereby made a part of this
Ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified, confirmed, accepted
and adopted.
SECTION 2: That the said estimates of expenditures,
be and they are hereby established and fixed as appropriations
from the revenues to be derived by said City of Sanford,
Florida, from taxes to be levied and collected, from all
other sources, for the various purposes as set forth in said
estimates for the said period beginning October 1, 1982, and
ending September 30, 1983.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional,
it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force,
or effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: That the effective date of this Ordinance
shall be October 1, 1982.

RESOLUTION NO. 1336
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
DETERMINING THE AMOUNT AND FIXING THE RATE OF
TAXATION AND MAKING THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR 1982-1983 FOR THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford,
Florida, has determined a budget for the operation of the
municipal government of the City for the fiscal year 1982-1983;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford,
Florida, has determined that a tax levy on all taxable real
and personal property of 4.369 mills should be levied by the
City of Sanford, Florida, for the fiscal year 1982-1983, from
which levy the total sum of $1,037,581.00 is estimated to
be collected.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the amount determined necessary to be raised
by taxation in the City of Sanford, Florida, for the year
1982-1983 for the ordinary purposes of the municipality is the
sum of $1,037,581.00.
2. That the millage for the year 1982-1983 to be
assessed upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all the
taxable property, except homesteads to the extent that the laws
of the State of Florida provide for various homestead exemptions,
within the corporate limits of the City Of Sanford, Florida, iS
hereby fixed at 4.369 mills, to be allocated as follows:
Department of General Government, 4.369 mills.
3. That there shall be and is hereby l~ied for the
fiscal year 1982-1983 upon each dollar of the assessed valuation
of all taxable property, except homesteads to the extent that the
laws of the State of Florida provide for various homestead exemp-
tions, within the corporate Hmits of the City of Sanford, Florida
a tax of 4.369 mills for the purpose of realizing a sum sufficient
to meet and defray the necessary and ordinary running and operat-
ing expenses of the City of Sanford, Florida, for the fiscal
year beginning October 1, 1982, and ending September 30, 1983.
4. This Resolution sha~l become effective October
1, 1982.
