AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
ADOPTING A COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT PLAN
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, AS RECOMMENDED BY THE
LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CHAPTER 163, FLORIDA STATUTES, AND FURTHER
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THAT CERTAIN SPECIAL
LEGISLATIVE ACT KNOWN AS THE "SEMINOLE COUNTY
COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ACT OF 1974", PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1327 passed and adopted January 12,
1976, adopted a Comprehensive Development Plan for the develop-
ment of Ehe City of Sanford, Florida, in accordance with the
requirements of the Seminole County Comprehensive Planning Act
of 1975, and
WHEREAS° Section 163.200, Florida Statutes, provides that
the Comprehensive~ Plan shall be reviewed by the Planning Commission
to determine whether changes in the amount, kind or direction of
development of the area, or other reasons make it beneficial
to make additions or amendments to the Comprehensive Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Sanford acting in the capacity of the local land planning agency
has recommended certain amendments to the Comprehensive Develop-
ment Plan, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the City Commission
on March 24, 1980 to consider adoption of the proposed amended
Comprehensive Development Plan, and it is the desire of the City
Commission to adopt such amended Plan,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Amended Comprehensive Plan~as recommended
by the Sanford Planning and Zoning Commission acting as the local
land planning agency be and the same is hereby amended.
SECTION 2: That a copy of said amended Plan is filed in the
Office of the City Clerk as a matter of permanent record of the
City, and the matters and contents therein are made a part of this
Ordinance by reference as fully and completely as if set forth
herein, and such copy'shall remain on file in said office available
for public inspection.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of this
ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it
shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage ~d adoption.
