ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1097 OF SAID CITY,
SAID ORDINANCE BEING A ZONING PLAN; SAID
AMENDMENT CHANGING THE ZONING OF THE NORTHWEST
CORNER OF THAT CERTAIN BLOCK OF PROPERTY HERE-
INAFTER DESCRIBED LYING BETWEEN EAST FIRST
STREET AND EAST SECOND STREET AND BETWEEN
CYPRESS AVENUE AND PINE AVENUE FROM RMOI
(MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, OFFICE AND
INSTITUTIONAL) DISTRICT TO RC-1 (RESTRICTED
COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held before the City
Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, on November 27, 1978,
pursuant to a notice duly published in accordance with the laws of
the State of Florida, to change the zoning of the property herein-
after described from P~OI (Multiple Family Residential, Office and
Institutional) District to GC-2 (Commercial) District; and
WHEREAS, after having heard all interested parties, the
City Commission voted to table any action on the proposed rezoning'
until the meeting of the City Commission scheduled for December 11,
1978; and
WHEREAS, at the meeting of December 11, 1978, additional
statements from interested parties were considered and after
additional consideration, the City Commission voted affirmatively
to have a Public Hearing for the adoption of an ordinance changing
the zoning of said property from RMOI (Multiple Family Residential,
Office and Institutional) District to RC-1 (Restricted Commercial)
District; and
WHEREAS, the Public Hearing was held before the City Commissio~
of the City of Sanford, Florida on January 8, 1979, pursuant to a
notice duly published in accordance with the laws of the State of
Florida to consider the adoption of an ordinance to change the zoning
of the property hereinafter described from RMOI (Multiple Family
Residential, Office and Institutional) District to RC-1 (Restricted
Commericial) District, said ordinance having had its first
reading at the City Commission meeting on December 26, 1978.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 1097 of the City of
Sanford, Florida, passed and adopted December 11, 1972, said ordinance
being the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Sanford,
Florida, regulating and restricting the location and use of buildings,
structures, land and water for trade, industry, residence or other
purposes, be and the same is hereb~ amended as follows:
The West 100 feet of Block 14, lying South of
First Street, and the North one-half of vacated
East Street abutting on the South, CHAPMAN AND
TUCKER ADDITION TO SANFORD, Plat Book 1, page 24,
of the Public Records of Seminole County, Florida.
be and the same is hereby rezoned from RMOI
(Multiple Family Residential, Office and Institutional)
District to RC-1 (Restricted Commercial) District,
SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
