AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ARTICLE V OF ORDINANCE NO. 1097, SAID
ORDINANCE BEING A ZONING PLAN WITHIN THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA; SAID ARTICLE BEING ENTITLED
"USE PROVISIONS", SAID AMENDMENT PROVIDING FOR
FACTORY BUILT HOUSES AND CARPORTS AS CONDITIONAL
USES IN THE SR-1AA SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
DISTRICT; SAID AMENDMENT FURTHER ADDING SINGLE-
FAMILY DWELLINGS WITH CARPORTS AS PERMITTED USES
IN THE SR-1A SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DWELLING
DISTRICT; SAID AMENDMENT ADDING SINGLE-FAMILY
DWELLINGS WITH A MINIMUM OF 1,000 SQUARE FEETiL"
OF LIVING AREA AS A CONDITIONAL USE IN THE SR-tA
SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DWELLING DISTRICT; SAID
AMENDMENT AMENDING THE FIRST PERMITTED USE IN THE
MR-1 MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DWELLING DISTRICT
TO ALLOW ANY USE PERMITTED IN THE SR-1 SINGLE-
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DWELLING DISTRICT; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the conditional use provisions of Section
1, Article V of Zoning Ordinance, said section being entitled SR-1AA
Single-Family Residential District is hereby amended by the addition
of subparagraphs 5 and 6 as follows:
(5) Factory-built houses.
(6) Carports not closer than ten feet to any property
line.
SECTION 2: That the permitted use provisions of Section 2,
Article V of the Zoning Ordinance, said section being entitled SR-1A
Single-Family Residential Dwelling District is hereby amended by the
addition of subparagraph 2 as follows:
(2) Single Family Dwelling with carport.
SECTION 3: That the conditional use provisions of Section
2, Article V of the Zoning Ordinance, said section being entitled
SR-1A Single-Family Residential Dwelling District is hereby amended
by the addition of subparagraph 2 as follows:
(2) Single Family Dwelling with t,000 square feet minimum
living area.
(a) As a condition to the granting of such conditional
use, the Planning and Zoning Commission shall
conduct a Public Hearing after notice bas been
mailed to owners of all property located within
200 feet of the property for which the conditional
use is being considered. The applicant for such
conditional use shall be charged a fee as may
from time to time be established by the City
Commission of the City of Sanford.
SECTION 4: That the permitted use provis~ns of Section
5, Article V of the Zoning Ord~rance, said section being entitled
MR-1 Multiple-Family Residential Dwelling District is hereby amended
to read as follows:
(1) Any use permitted in the SR-1, Single-Family
Residential Dwelling District.
SECTION 5: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
