Deficiencies Noted: 1. A-1, B-1 and C-2 columns in panels do not have specified clearances as required by specifications. 2. D-1, D-2 and D-3, incomplete at this time reinspection required. Will reinspect when rescheduled. The UES representative arrived at the above referenced job site to inspect rebar in pre -cast panels. Rebar was not tied per AC-1 Code Section 2.15.6.2. Elevation of rebar was not supported per ACI Code Section 2.15.4. On June 1, 1998, UES representative performed in -place density tests on No. 1-line of footing at B and C. Both of these failed due to high moisture (17-19 percent). At B.7 to approximately CA, there was 2 to 3 inches of standing water. Dave Carter with UES, suggested to Larry Cotton with Perry Stewart Contracting, that he over excavate the problem area and refill to grade with No. 57 stone. Larry Cotton also decided to dewater the area. The area that was previously performed failing in -place density tests is still too wet to test. The area, however, is not pumping or yielding, was probed in several places, and was found to be sufficiently compacted. cc: Client (2) R: A.
