preliminary design and permit protocol conference we held at the offices of the City of Sanford
Building Department (300 N. Park Avenue, 2"d Floor City Hall, Sanford, FL 32771) with
the participants listed above. The
purpose of this meeting was to present to the building department the scopes required to implement
the Store Of The Future Renovation (STOFR). The
following points of discussion were brought up as follows: 1.
I presented the design development/working drawings prepared to date for the STOFR.
The basic presentation outlined the`1act that TSA intended to take the existing
store at Town Center and implement minor demolition in an effort to renovate
the exterior facade, sales floor, fixture plan and associated offices of the interior.
2.
I explained the store would not be opened to the public prior to the renovation and it
was the intent to fully renovate the store per the drawings presented prior to opening
the store for public shopping. 3.
It was noted that the fire protection system (overhead sprinkler) was fully in -place and
that the STOFR will require minor adjustment to system, predominately sprinkler
head re -location. The plans reviewer for the Fire Marshall's office didn't take
exception to this and thought it natural to the work involved. Our drawings to
be submitted will need to reflect the intended head placement as well as the scopes
required for demolition. Fl.

4. We discussed permit review/acquisition protocol for both the demolition and new
work scopes. The Building Department indicated that we could submit 13.sets of
drawings'. together•?.witht the ; enclosed v demolition. permit form' -filled out -and The,
Notice,pof: Commencemppt. This review/permit process would be rather simple
and expeditious, allowing the contractor to mobilize quickly.
5. The parameters for securing the permit to improve the building per our renovation
needs would be quite similar to the above program. The paperwork differs
slightly wherein, we need to file the "Application for Building Permit" which is
also enclosed. This together with 3 sets of signed and sealed documents (for all
disciplines) as well as the integration of the original demolition drawings will
need to start the building permit process.
6. The City of Sanford requires that contractors fill out a city registration
application. This appears to be a comprehensive "Quick Data Sheet" reflecting
basic information on the contractor for the cities' records. While I was there with
Ms. Rumbley we checked the cities' data base and did not find G&E Enterprises
listed, therefore Dan Reynolds will have to complete the enclosed sheet and
coordinate with Arlene Rumbley. to register with the City:
7. The last issue discussed was the ability to stock and merchandise. The Building
Department indicated that the Fire Marshall's Office will inspect the building to
verify if the exiting requirements were in place and operational. Providing these
as well as the sprinkler systems were functioning, the Fire Marshall would
provide such approval to stock. The request for inspection and approval would be
initiated after the contractor/tenant had requested such inspection in writing. This
approval would allow stocking/loading prior to a final certificate of occupancy,
which ultimately allows the general public to have access.
8. I indicated that.we would update our Egress and Code Calculations for permit
submission to meet the new fixture plan demands.
9. There was a question regarding building facade renovation and, since
the site plan, building design and use stayed the same, zoning was still
in compliance.

preliminary design and permit protocol conference we held at the offices of the City of Sanford
Building Department (300 N. Park Avenue, 2"d Floor City Hall, Sanford, FL 32771) with
the participants listed above. The
purpose of this meeting was to present to the building department the scopes required to implement
the Store Of The Future Renovation (STOFR). The
following points of discussion were brought up as follows: I
presented the design development/working drawings prepared to date for the STOFR.
The basic presentation outlined the fact that TSA intended to take the existing
store at Town Center and implement minor demolition in an effort to renovate
the exterior facade, sales floor, fixture plan and associated offices of the interior.

I explained the store would not be opened to the public prior to the renovation and it
was the intent to fully renovate the store per the drawings presented prior to opening
the store for public shopping. 3.
It was noted that the fire protection system (overhead sprinkler) was fully in -place and
that the STOFR will require minor adjustment to system, 'predominately sprinkler
head re -location. The plans reviewer for the Fire Marshall's office didn't take
exception to this and thought it natural to the work involved. Our drawings to
be submitted will need to reflect the intended head placement as well as the scopes
required for demolition. Ft.

4. We discussed permit review/acquisition protocol for both the demolition and new
work scopes. The Building Department indicated that we could submit 9 sets -'of

Commencement. This review/permit process would be rather simple and
expeditious, allowing the contractor to mobilize quickly. 5.
The parameters for securing the permit to improve the building per our renovation needs
would be quite similar to the above program. The paperwork differs slightly
wherein, we need to file the "Application for Building Permit" which is also
enclosed. This together with 3 sets of signed and sealed documents (for all disciplines)
as well as the integration of the original demolition drawings will need
to start the building permit process. 6.
The City of Sanford requires that contractors fill out a city registration application.
This appears to be a comprehensive "Quick°DatwSheet" reflecting basic
information on the contractor for the cities' records. While I was there with Ms.
Rumbley we checked the cities' data base and did not find G&E Enterprises listed,
therefore Dan Reynolds will have to complete the enclosed sheet and coordinate
withArlene Rumbleywto register with the City: 7.
The last issue discussed was the ability to stock and merchandise. The Building Department
indicated that the Fire Marshall's Office will inspect the building to verify
if the exiting requirements were in place and operational. Providing these as
well as the sprinkler systems were functioning, the Fire Marshall would provide
such approval to stock. The request for inspection and approval would be initiated
after the contractor/tenant had requested such inspection in writing. This approval
would allow stocking/loading prior to a final certificate of occupancy, which
ultimately allows the general public to have access. 8.
I indicated that we would update our Egress and Code Calculations for permit submission
to meet the new fixture plan demands. 9.
There was a question regarding building facade renovation and, since the
site plan, building design and use stayed the same, zoning was still in
compliance. 10.
