I PREPARACION DE LA ABERTURA SIN TERMINAR "
A. Verifiqque que la abertura este a plomo, a
escuadra y a nivel.
Nota: Resuelva los problemas que haya con
la abertura sin terminar antes de proceder
con la instalacidn.
B. Calcule el tatnano de la abertura sin
terminar y/o de la ventana basandose en el
marco de madera. La abertura sin terminar
debe ser 3/8" t 1/8" mis grande que el ancho
y 1/4" hasta 3/8" mis grande en altura que el
marco de la ventana.
Nota: Resuelva los problemas que haya con
la abertura sin terminar antes de proceder coi
instalacidn.
C. Quite el contenido del paquete de la ventana.
Nota: Revue que elproducto no tenga rajaduras ni
in fldiraciones en el marco. NO instale unidades
daiiadas.
D. Para ventanas corredizas solamente: Haga orificios para
los tornillos de instalaci6n en las prensas de sujeci6n de la
solera. Con una broca de 5/32", haga dos orificios en cad,
Los orificios deben estar ubicados a 1/z" de cada extremo d
r a 3/8" del borde interno de la prensa.

PARA LLEVARA CABO LOS PASOS SIGUIENTES SE REQUIEREN2 O MAS PERSONAS.
Para ventanas corredizas solamente: Instale las
prensas de sujeci6n de la solera en la solera de la I Sill accessory groove
ventana corrediza. Coloque una prensa en cada
extremo y dos prensas con espacios de 1" entre ellas en

G. Quite la ventana de la abertura.
H. Ponga dos rebordes de 3/8" de sellador en la solera pre-fabricada. Coloque el primerrebordede1-1/2" desde el borde exterior de la solera. Coloque el segundo reborde de 1-1/2" desde el borde exterior de la solera.
I. Coloque un reborde continuo de sellador de 3/8" en los bordes exteriores de la madera
tratada de 1" x 4" y en el borde de la solera pre-fabricada.
2 COLOCACION Y.SUJECION DE LA VENTANA" N
PARA LLEVARA CABO LOS PASOS SIG UIENTES SE REQUIEREN2 O MAS PERSONAS
A. Desde el exterior, coloque la ventana en la abertura. Sostenga la ventana tomdndola de la
pane superior de la abertura para no manchar los rebordes del sellador en la solera. Centre la
ventana en la abertura.
Aplome y cuadre la ventana en la abertura. Mientras presiona
el reborde exterior de la abertura, comenzando por la parte
superior de cada jamba, inserte las calzas entre las jambas de
la ventana y la madera de 1" x 4" en cads orificio de las jambas,
asegurandose de que la ventana ester a plomo y a escuadra. Si las
calzas son necesarias en la solera pars nivelar la ventana, col6quelas
en la esquina de la ventana y luego agregue calzas adicionales con
espacios entre ellas de no rods de 18" en el centro.
Nota: El espacio entre la jamba y la abertura de la puerta no
debe medir mas de 1V "en ningzin punto de los laterades de la
ventana, ni may de 118" entre la solera y la parte inferior de la
abertura.
C. Inserte las calzas en el cabecero de la vents
el marco y la abertura, en cada orificio de la it

D. Instale un tornillo de mamposteria Tapcon® de acero inoxid-
able de 3/16" x 2-3/4" en cada orificio del marco de la ventana.
Coloque los tornillos hasta que est6n a ras del marco. Si los ajusta
demasiado, puede deformar el marco.
Nota: Se recomienda hacer orificios con un taladro en las calzas
para evitar que estas se quiebren mentras se instalan los tornil-
los de mamposterfa.

Project Summary: Architectural Testing, Inc. (ATI) was contracted by Pella Windows and
Doors to perform testing on three Series/Model 10 Flange, vinyl fixed windows. The samples
tested successfully met the performance requirements for the following ratings. Test Specimen
1: F-R40 2438 x 1524 (96 x 60); Test Specimen #2: F-R55 1905 x 1320 (75 x 52); and Test
Specimen #3: F-R55* 1372 x 914 (54 x 36). Test specimen description and results are reported
herein.
General Note: An asterisk (*) next to the performance grade indicates that the size tested for
optional performance was smaller than the Gateway test size for the product type and class.

Glazing Details: The glazing was 19 mm (3/4") thick insulating glass, fabricated from two
sheets of annealed glass and a steel spacer system. The glass was exterior glazed onto a bed
of polyurethane reactive hot melt sealant and secured using vinyl glazing beads.
Frame Construction: The frame was constructed of extruded vinyl with mitered and
welded corners.
