OBTAIN WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE OWNER BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH ANY MODIFICATIONS. 7. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE THE WORK OF ALL TRADES AS THE ARCHITECT WILL NOT BE PROVIDING CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SERVICES UNLESS REQUESTED BY THE OWNER. Provide all related and necessary duct work, controls, refrigerant piping, condensate piping, vents as required, and all other necessary items (shown or not) for a completely operating system. All products to be of new manufacture. Items that look used, scratched, dented or otherwise not acceptable to the architect will be removed from job, weather installed or not and replaced at no cost to the owner. Work is to be installed neatly, with tight joints. No "jagged" edges on duct work permitted. Work deemed to be of inferior qualityand/or not installed properly will be corrected and/or replaced. All ductwork is to be fiberglass 1-1/2" thick with an RG insulation type and installed as per the latest SMACNA and ASHRAE low pressure standards. All joints to be sealed with manufacture's recommended tape made for that purpose. Follow the manufacturer's instructions strickly. Install all ducts with tabs and joints and staple as per SMACNA. Flexible duct work - furnish and install flexible duct as shown on the plans. Duct work shall be equal to Atco and have a min. R6 insulation rating. Branch duct connections to trunk duct shall be by duct board spin -in type with integral damper and 45 degree extractor. Lengths over six (G) feet Shall be provided with intermediate support per SMACNA directives and in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. Do not support with wires at anytime. Compress duct work around collars with draw bands and seal with pressure sensitive tape. Draw bands to be plastic panduit type as recommended by the duct manufacturer and installed per manufacturers instructions. Air distribution system components shall be sealed to 100 percent closure with approved closure systems. Round supply ductwork not indicated as flexible duct on the plans are to be standard gauge sheet -metal snap -lock' pipe and fittings insulated with a faced R6 insulation. All joints are to be sealed with an acrylic mastic. PIPING AND PIPE FITTINGS: Condensate drain lines shall be schedule 40 PVC below grade and elsewhere as permitted by code. PART 4 - HVAC CONTRACTORS GUARANTEE New Outdoor Condensing Units All compressors, coils shall be provided with a 5 year factory limited warranty. Provide a I year factory warranty on parts. It is understood that any Service required is for normal working hours and all work must be performed by an authorized service dealer during the life of the warranties. Irrespective of the manufacturers warranties provided and indicated above the HVAC contractor is to provide 1 year warranty on the entire installation for all new work which includes equipment and workmanship.
