The project site is located at the northeast corner of Orlando
Avenue (U.S. 17-92) and 27th Street in the City of Sanford,
Florida. The business is an operating self -serve gas and
convenience store. There is currently no form of stormwater
management system in effect. The site does not receive any off-
site runoff from adjacent property. The historical pattern of
runoff from the site is by surface flow to the gutter along 27th
Street and Orlando Avenue to an existing curb inlet at the
intersection.
The proposed construction will include a building renovation of an
additional 406 square foot floor area and upgrade landscaping to
comply with current code requirements. Three hundred thirty-six
(336) square feet of additional asphalt pavement will be provided
to allow the site to comply with current parking requirements.
Stormwater runoff from the roof of the new building will be
directed to a swaled area to the rear provided to help direct the.
stormwater flow and enhance the water quality treatment on site
before being discharged in -the historical manner, as directed by
the City of Sanford.

The swaled detention area has 348 SF of bottom area and 1,133 SF
of area at the top of bank with a depth of 1.5 feet. This will
hold the volume of 1/2" of runoff from the building and new paved
area. The soil boring performed in this area by S&ME, Florida
registered soil engineers, shows the water table in this area to
be at least 3.5 Feet below grade so a 2' buffer between the
detention area bottom and the groundwater is provided. Discharge
is by surface overflow to 27th Street in the historical pattern.
GENERAL NOTES:

a) REMOVE AND REPLACE THE FRONT & SOUTHSIDE SIDEWALKS.
b) REMOVE PAVEMENT IN THE AREA OF THE BUILDING ADDITION.
