NOTICfa In addition to the requirements of this permit, there may be additional restrictions applicable to this property that may be

Acceptance of permit is verification that 1 will notify the owner of the property of the requirements of Florida Lien Law, FS 713.
The City of Sanford requires payment of a plan review fee at the time of permit submittal. A copy of the executed contract is required
in order to calculate a plan review charge and will be considered the estimated construction value of the job at the time of submittal.
The actual construction value will be figured based on the current ICC Valuation Table in effect at the time the permit is issued, in
accordance with local ordinance. Should calculated charges figured off the executed contract exceed the actual construction value,

SCOPE OF WORK:
EDC hereby provides the estimated cost for the performance of the following scope of work at the Project Location above. This Estimate of Services
is a preliminary and limited estimate, and does not constitute an offer to perform the scope of work below for the cost displayed. This Estimate of
Services is subject to change and may increase or decrease in price depending on any adjustment or revision of the Plans:
Description of Work
• Demolish and completely remove the existing 2 -story motel and attached lobby and dining and small east
attached service structure area approximately 47,500 gross sq ft.
• Demo will including entire structures, concrete slabs, concrete walkways, driveways, 1600 sq ft in ground pool,
3500 sq ft concrete deck, driveway, canopy foundation, footers, to the dirt.
• Removal of light poles and bases and signage
• All perimeter landscaping, trees, bushes as needed, to be removed
• Provide clean fill approximately 23 to 25 loads of clean fill to fill pool void.
• Haul all demolition debris off site to an approved landfill or recycling center for proper disposal.
TOTAL ESTIMATED COST: $954500.00

Noes & Exclusions:
1. All work to be completed during normal business hours (weekdays only), unless otherwise mutually agreed.
2. This Esiimate excludes any work not expressly slated herein.
3. If additional work is required, such work shall be addressed through a change order.
4. Unless otherwise expressly stated, this Estimate does not include any permits, Ices, code updates, or engineering.
5. Any work requiring night or weekend hours is expressly excluded from this estimate.
6. Customer shall supply, and comply with EDC's requests for, a staging area for equipment and materials.
7. All work proposed is contingent on the availability of materials, access to the project site; and acts of God permitting.
8. This Estimate is valid and accurate for thirty (30) days, after which period it shall be subject to change.
9. Upon request, EDC will submit an AIA contract to Customer for review that incorporates the work and costs contemplated herein
10. This Estimate is not an offer, and shall not be construed to create a contract between EDC and the Customer.
11. The following items were deleted from the scope of work: one restroom, water heater, and mop sink, per Customer's request.

CHAPTER 1
SCOPE AND ADMINISTRATION
Permits issued for the demolition of a structure shall '
expire 30 days from the date of issuance. For a
justifiable cause, one (1) extension of time for a period
not exceeding 30 days may be allowed. Such request
shall be in writing to the building official.
105.6 Denial or revocation. Whenever a permit
required under this section is denied or revoked
because the plan, or the construction, erection,
alteration, modification, repair, or demolition of a
building, is found by the local enforcing agency to be
not in compliance with the Florida Building Code, the
local enforcing agency shall identify the specific plan
or project features that to not comply with the
applicable codes, identify the specific code chapters
and sections upon which the finding is based, and
provide this information to the permit applicant. if the
local building code administrator or inspector finds
that the plans are not in compliance with the Florida
Building Code, the local building code administrator
or inspector shall identify the specific plan features
that do not comply with the applicable codes, identify
the specific code chapters and sections upon which the
finding is based, and provide this information to the
local enforcing agency. The local enforcing agency
shall provide this information to the permit applicant.
105.6.1 Suspension or revocation. The building
official is authorized to suspend or revoke a permit
issued under the provisions of this code wherever the
permit is issued in error or on the basis of incorrect,
inaccurate or incomplete information, or in violation
of any ordinance or regulation or any of the provisions
of this code.
105.7 Placement of permit and reviewed plan. The
building permit and reviewed plan shall be kept on the
site of the work until the completion of the project or
a certificate of occupancy or certificate of completion
is issued by the building official. Work requiring a
permit shall not commence until the permit holder or
his agent posts the permit card in a conspicuous
location on the premises. The permit shall be protected
from the weather and located in such position as to
allow the building official or representative to
conveniently make the required entries thereon.
105.8 Notice of commencement. As per Section
713.135, Florida Statutes, when any person applies for
a building permit, the authority issuing such permit
shall print on the face of each permit card in no less
than 14 -point, capitalized, boldfaced type:

105.9 Asbestos. The enforcing agency shall require
each building permit for the demolition or renovation
of an existing structure to contain an asbestos
notification statement which indicates the owner's or
operator's responsibility to comply with the provisions
of Section 469.003, Florida Statutes, and to notify the
Department of Environmental Protection of his or her
intentions to remove asbestos, when applicable, in
accordance with state and federal law.
105.10 Certificate of protective treatment for
prevention of termites. A weather -resistant job -site
posting board shall be provided to receive duplicate
treatment certificates as each required protective
treatment is completed, providing a copy for the
person the permit is issued to and another copy for the
building permit files. The treatment certificate shall
provide the product used, identity of the applicator,
time and date of the treatment, site location, area
treated, chemical used, percent concentration and
number of gallons used, to establish a verifiable record
of protective treatment. if the soil chemical barrier
method for termite prevention is used, final exterior
treatment shall be completed prior to final building
approval.
105.11 Notice of termite protection. A permanent
sign which identifies the termite treatment provider
and need for re -inspection and treatment contract
renewal shall be provided. The sign shall be posted
near the water heater or electric panel.
105.12 Work starting before permit issuance. Upon
approval of the building official, the scope of work
delineated in the building permit application and plan
may be started prior to the final approval and issuance
of the permit, provided any work completed is entirely
at risk of the permit applicant and the work does not
proceed past the first required inspection. The early
start application must be completely filled out and all
applicable fees must be paid.
105.13 Phased permit approval. After submittal of
the appropriate construction documents, the building
official is authorized to issue a permit for the

exemption. You may not hire an unlicensed person as
your contractor. Your work must be done according
to all local, state and federal laws and regulations
which apply to asbestos abatement projects. It is your
responsibility to make sure that people employed by
you have licenses required by state law and by county
or municipal licensing ordinances.
105.3.7 Applicable Code for Manufactured
Buildings. Manufacturers should be permitted to
complete all buildings designed and approved prior to
the effective date of a new code edition, provided a
clear signed contract is in place. The contract shall
provide specific data mirroring that required by an
application for permit, specifically, without limitation,
date of execution, building owner or dealer, and
anticipated date of completion. However, the
construction activity must commence within 6 months
of the contract's execution. The contract is subject to
verification by the Department of Business and
Professional Regulation.
105.3.8 Public right of way. A permit shall not be
given by a building official for the construction of any
building, or for the alteration of any building where
said building is to be changed and such change will
affect the exterior walls, bays, balconies or other
appendages or projections fronting on any street, alley
or public lane, or for the placing on any lot or premises
of any building or structure removed from another lot
or premises, unless the applicant has received a right
of way permit from the authority having jurisdiction
over the street, alley or public lane. Any construction
encroaching into a public right of way shall be
compliant with chapter 32 of this code.
105.4 Conditions of the permit. The issuance or
granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a
permit for, or an approval of, any violation of any of
the provisions of this code or of any other ordinance
of the jurisdiction. Permits presuming to give
authority to violate or cancel the provisions of this
code or other ordinances of the jurisdiction shall not
be valid. The issuance of a permit based on
construction documents and other data shall not
prevent the building official from requiring the
correction of errors in the construction documents and
other data. The building official is also authorized to
prevent occupancy or use of a structure where in
violation of this code or of any other ordinances of this
jurisdiction.
105.4.1 Permit intent. A permit issued shall be
construed to be a license to proceed with the work and

not as authority to violate, cancel, alter or set aside any
of the'provisions of the technical codes, nor shall
issuance of a permit prevent the building official from
thereafter requiring a correction of errors in plans,
construction or violations of this code. Every permit
issued shall become invalid unless the work authorized
by such permit is commenced within six months after
its issuance, or if the work authorized by such permit
is suspended or abandoned for a period of six months
after the time the work is commenced.
105.4.1.1 If work has commenced and the permit is
revoked, becomes null and void, or expires because of
lack of progress or abandonment, a new permit
covering the proposed construction shall be obtained
before proceeding with the work.
105.4.1.2 If a new permit is not obtained within 180
days from the date the initial permit became null and
void, the building official is authorized to require that
any work which has been commenced or completed be
removed from the building site. Alternately, a new
permit may be issued on application, providing the
work in place and required to complete the structure
meets all applicable regulations in effect at the time
the initial permit became null and void and any
regulations which may have become effective between
the date of expiration and the date of issuance of the
new permit.
105.4.1.3 Work shall be considered to be in active
progress when the permit has received an approved
inspection within 180 days. This provision shall not be
applicable in case of civil commotion or strike or when
the building work is halted due directly to judicial
injunction, order or similar process.
105.4.1.4 The fee for renewal reissuance and
extension of a permit shall be set forth by the
administrative authority.
105.5 Expiration. Every permit issued shall become
invalid unless the work on the site authorized by such
permit is commenced within 180 days after its
issuance, or if the work authorized on the site by such
permit is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180
days after the time the work is commenced. Failure to
obtain an approved inspection within 180 days of the
previous approved inspection shall constitute
suspension or abandonment. The building official is
authorized to grant, in writing, one or more extensions
of time, for periods not more than 90 days each. The
extension shall be requested in writing prior to the
expiration date and justifiable cause demonstrated.
