NOTICE: Ili addition to the requirements of this permit, there may be additional restrictions applicable to this property that may be
found in the public records of this county, and there may be additional permits required from other governmental entities such as water
management districts, state agencies, or federal agencies.
Acceptance of permit is verification that I will notify the owner of the property of the requirements of Florida Lien Law, FS 713.
The City of Sanford requires payment of a plan review fee at the time of permit submittal. A copy of the executed contract is required
in order to calculate a plan review charge and will be considered the estimated construction value of the job at the time of submittal.
The actual construction value will be figured based on the current ICC Valuation Table in effect at the time the permit is issued, in
accordance with local ordinance. Should calculated charges figured off the executed contract exceed the actual construction value,
credit will be applied to your permit fees when the permit is issued.

Building Permit Application completed, signed and notarized. Application must include correct address
and complete parcel I.D. number.
Copy of a contract, signed by the contractor and the property owner, indicating the documented
construction value of the project.
IVIA Completed and signed Electrical Permit Application. (If electric meter must be removed)
p1m Copy of applicable contractor's license issued by the State of Florida (if the contractor is the applicant).

2.0 USES
Exterior Portfolio vinyl sidings are used as exterior wall
coverings and as a closure material on the underside of
exposed eaves (soffits).
3.0 DESCRIPTION
Exterior Portfolio vinyl sidings are horizontal and vertical
sidings and soffits, extruded from a solid rigid polyvinyl
chloride (PVC) compound, that conform to the
requirements of ASTM D3679. These exterior cladding
products are produced in a variety of profiles, lengths and
thicknesses. Refer to Table 1 for product codes,
descriptions, and dimensions. The siding panels have an
upper hooking lock, a butt lock and a slotted nailing flange.

Installation of Exterior Portfolio vinyl sidings, soffits and
accessory materials such as corners, starter strips, and
trim must be in accordance with AS FM D4756, the
manufacturer's published installation instructions.. thIe
applicable code and this report. The manufacturer;;
published installation instructions must he available at the
jobsite at all times during installation.
The siding must be installed over solid sheathing with air
approved water -resistive barrier as required by the
applicable code. Flashing in accordance with the
applicable code must be installed at all openings,
penetrations, abutments with dissimilar materials, acid at
terminations of the sidings and soffit, to maintain the
weather tightness of the assembly.
Wood furring strips or wood stud framing must have a
minimum specific gravity of 0.42 and must be of stiffir..ient
strength to resist the imposed loads required by the
applicable code.
As used in this report, "nailable sheathing" or "nailable
substrate" means a product or material such as framing or
sheathing, composed of wood or wood -based materials
having a minimum specific gravity of 0.42, or other
materials and fasteners having equivalent withdrawal
resistance.
Fasteners for attaching the siding to framing must be;
corrosion -resistant nails with minimum 3/8-inch-diameter
9.5 mm) heads and 1/8-inch-diameter (3.2 mn) shanks.
The minimum length of the nails must be 21/2 inches (64
mill) for profiles with exposures of 12 inches (305 nun) or
greater, and 11/2 inches (38 mm) for all other profiles listed
in Table 1.
For installation over nailable sheathing (minirnurn ti,> inch
thick) fasteners must be long enough to penetrate framing
a minimum of 3/4 inch, and 1112 inches for siding profiles
with exposures of 12 inches or greater. When non-nailable
sheathing is used, fasteners must penetrate a minimum of
1'/.r inches, and 2 inches for siding profiles with exposures
of 12 inches or greater, into framing or other nailable
substrate. When siding is installed over foam plastic
sheathing without a nailable substrate in accordance wit`t
IRC Section R703.11.2.1, the fasteners must comply with
Section R703.112.1 of the IRC with the penetration
specified above.

Nails must be installed into framing members at
16 inches (406 mm) on center in the center of the nail slots
that are preformed in the siding. The nails must be driven
perpendicular to the substrate and such that a minimum
1/
32-inch (0.8 mm) clearance is left between the back of the
nail head and the face of the siding, so as not to restrict
movement due to expansion and contraction.
A minimum 1/4-inch wide (6.4 mm) gap must be provided
at all openings and terminations, for expansion and
contraction. When exterior cladding components are to be
installed in temperatures below 40"F (4.4°C), a minimum

Q-inch-wide (9.5 mm) gap must be provided. Joints
between panels must be overlapped a minimum of 1 inch
25.4 mm).
4.2 Wind Resistance:
4.2.1 General: The design wind pressure must be
determined in accordance with the requirements of
Chapter 16 of the IBC, UBC, BNBC, or SBC, or Section
R301.2.1.1 of the IRC, as applicable, and must not exceed
the allowable values in Table 1, subject to the conditions in
Sections 4.2.2 and 4.2.3 of this report. Wind resistance of
soffit panels is outside the scope of this report except
where specifically listed in Table 1 and where installation is
as siding.
4.2.2 IBC: For buildings constructed under the
requirements of the IBC, vinyl siding must be installed as
described in IBC Section 1405.14 and Section 4.1 of this
report, over sheathing or materials addressed in IBC
Section 2304.6 that are capable of independently resisting
both positive and negative wind pressures occurring under
design conditions at the building location. The allowable
negative wind loads for the vinyl siding are as shown in
Table 1; the sheathing must be capable of withstanding the
indicated negative load, or greater. Positive wind pressures
are not considered for the siding, since the sheathing must
be capable of supporting the imposed loads, including but
not limited to, positive and negative transverse wind
pressures.
4.2.3 IRC: For buildings constructed in accordance with
the 2009 IRC, the siding must be installed as described in
Section 4.1 and one of the following conditions:
1. For installation over sheathing other than foam plastic
sheathing. in applications where the building's mean
roof height does not exceed 30 feet and the basic wind
speed (3-second gust) is less than 110 mph (49 m/s) in
Exposure B, and does not exceed 90 mph (40 m/s) In
Exposure C or 85 mph (37 m/s) in Exposure D,
sheathing must be as required by Table R703.4 of the
IRC. Should any of these conditions not be met,
installation must be in accordance with the following:
Vinyl siding must be installed over sheathing as
required by Table R703.4 of the IRC that is capable of
independently resisting both positive and negative wind
pressures occurring under design conditions at the
building location. The allowable negative wind loads for
the vinyl siding are as shown in Table 1; the sheathing
must be capable of withstanding the indicated negative
load, or greater. Positive wind pressures are not
considered for the siding, since the sheathing must be
capable of supporting the imposed loads, including brit

2. For installation over foam plastic sheathing, the siding
must be installed in accordance with Section R703.11.2
of the 2009 IRC.
4.2.4 Negative Wind Pressures: Allowable negative
wind pressures for siding installed over sheathing materials
not addressed in Sections 4.2.2 or 4.2.3 are outside the
scope of this report.
5.0 CONDITIONS OF USE
The vinyl sidings described in this report comply with, or
are suitable alternatives to what is specified in, tHose
codes listed in Section 1.0 of this report, subject to the
following conditions:
5.1 Installation complies with this report, the
manufacturer's published installation instructions and
the applicable code. If there is a conflict between the
installation instructions and this report, this report
must govern.
5.2 Installation is limited to buildings of Type V-B (IBC),
Type V-N (UBC): Type 513 (BNBC), and Type VI
SBC) construction, and buildings constructed in
accordance with the IRC.
5.3 Except as provided in Section 4.2.3, siding must be
installed only on exterior walls covered by solid
sheathing and a water -resistive barrier.
5.4 The exterior walls must be braced or sheathed to
resist racking loads with approved materials in
accordance with the requirements of the applicable
code.
5.5 The vinyl siding products are manufactured in
Columbus. Ohio, under a quality control program will,
inspections by ICC Evaluation Service, LLC.
6.0 EVIDENCE SUBMITTED
Data in accordance with the ICC-ES Acceptance Criteria
for Vinyl Siding (AC37), dated February 2014.
7.0 IDENTIFICATION
Each carton of the vinyl siding described in this report is
identified at a minimum with the manufacturers name
Exterior Portfolio, LLC), the product code, the statement
Conforms to ASTM specification D3679", the statement
Conforms to UBC Standard 14-2", and the evaluation
report number (ESR-1083).
