The violations noted must be addressed before the plans can be approved. Changes to plans shall be submitted on the same size format as the original submittal. Changes to construction documents that require an Architect or Engineer's seal must be submitted with the appropriate seal. Provide two copies of affected plan sheets and/or supplemental information as requested. Provide two copies of affected plan sheets and/or supplemental information as reauested. Permit submittals will not be accepted without two copies. COMMENTS: The permit application description of work states "Replacement of outside door size for size." In reference to Code Enforcement Case #16-000820, it is clearly evident a door has been installed where an existing window was once located. The exterior wall has been modified to accommodate the new door. In accordance with 2014 Florida Building Code, no modifications can be made in an exterior wall without signed/sealed engineering. An engineered detail is required to modify a window opening to install a door. In addition, referencing the same code enforcement case #, a separate exterior door has been removed and the opening closed up. This as well requires signed/sealed structural engineering. A permit will not be issued until a signed/sealed engineered structural detail is provided for the door installed where a window was located and where a 2 door was removed and the opening closed up. Since the work has been completed without prior permits or inspections - In addition to providing structural engineering for the modified exterior wall openings, the design professional who provides the engineered detail will also be required to provide a statement on the detail or a separate affidavit stating he/she has personally inspected the work and verifies the work done matches the engineered detail. All work subject to permitting must be readily accessible for inspection, otherwise a design professional must certify the work done. Lastly, any additional work done on the home will need to be addressed in additional permits. No modifications can be made to existing electric, plumbing or mechanical without required permits and inspections. The slab located at the new exterior door has not been permitted and will require a permit. Please reference the attached pictures. 1- Any error or omission in this plan review shall not be construed to grant approval of any violation of any of the adopted codes or municipal ordinances of this jurisdiction.
