Engineering Specifications General SpectrAlert horns, strobes and horn/strobes shall be capable of mounting to a standard 4" x 4" x 1'/2" back box or a single gang 2" x 4" x 17/8" back box using the universal mounting plate included with each SpectrAlert product. All 12V products will be listed between 8 - 17.5V and all 24V products will be listed between 16 - 33V. Those devices are considered "regulat- ed". Any product that does not operate within these ranges will be listed as a "special application" with its operating voltage specified on the device. Notes 1.
