As requested, we completed site observations of the subject Kiosk presently located at the Sanford Orlando
International Airport in Sanford, Florida.
DESCRIPTION
The existing Kiosk is an 8 foot by 11 foot modular office structure constructed with wood frame walls which
support a wood rafter roof system. The roof has a low -pitch (approx. 0.5:12) with an approximately 8'-0"
eave height.
OBSERVATIONS
Mr. Ronald D. Devlen, PE, of our office visited the subject location and made the following observations.

Access Methods: Walking, interior and exterior
This site visit focused on documenting the existing modular office construction and the temporary placement
on the concrete slab. Mr. Juan Fernandez provided to Devlen Engineering available specifications and
sketches of the modular office, and engineered plans with sealed signature for the anchorage of the modular
office to the existing concrete slab. Photographs of the existing modular office (Kiosk) are attached for
reference. From the site visit and through conversations with Diamond Builders, the modular office is
constructed as follows:
Roof
The roof is constructed with 2 x 6 rafters spaced at 24" o.c. Roof sheathing is 7/16" OSB fastened to the
rafters with 8d nails at 8" o.c. The roof cover is a rubber membrane.
Walls
The walls are constructed with 2 x 4 studs spaced at 16" o.c. The exterior wall sheathing is 3/8" Hardie
Board, fastened to the studs at approximately 16" o.c. The interior surface of these walls is sheathed with I/2"
gypsum board.
Floor
The floor is constructed with 2 x 4 joists spaced at 16" o.c. Floor sheathing is 5/8" plywood glued and
fastened to the joists with 8d nails.

RECOMMENDATIONS
The modular office. Kiosk was built off-site and placed at the current location recently. There are no signs of
distress among the various elements described above. It is our opinion that the as -built construction
adequately meets or exceeds all structural design load requirements, along with the required minor
modifications indicated in the attached sketches SK -01, SK -02 and SK -03.
