Project Summary: Architectural Testing, Inc. (ATI) was contracted by Simonton Windows to
witness testing on a Series/Model 07-09, PVC double hung window at their test facility in
Pennsboro, West Virginia. The sample tested successfully met the performance requirements for
an H -R60 940 x 2134 (37 x 84) rating. Test specimen description and results are reported
herein. Please reference ATI Report No. 60742.02-501-47 for Gateway Performance
Requirements.

aluminum reinforcement, reference Drawing No. RE0044. The top sash stiles utilized a 19
mm (0.748") by 12 mm (0.472") by 1.5 mm (0.062") aluminum reinforcement, reference
Drawing No. 56111. The bottom sash stiles and lift rail utilized a 19 mm (0.748") by 22
mm (0.846") by 1.5 mm (0.062") aluminum reinforcement, reference Drawing No. 56109.
The top rail utilized a 19 mm (0.748") by 10 mm (0.394") by 1.5 mm (0.062") aluminum
reinforcement, reference Drawing No. 16107.
Finish: All PVC was white.
Glazing Details: The sash were exterior glazed with nominal 19 mm (3/4") thick, sealed
insulating glass fabricated from two sheets of 3.2 mm (1/8") clear annealed glass and a "U"
shaped steel spacer system embedded in sealant, single sealed. The insulating glass was set
against a double -sided adhesive tape and secured with rigid vinyl glazing beads.

Frame Construction: The PVC
frame was constructed using mitered and welded corner
construction.
Sash Construction: .The.PVC sash were assembled utilizing mitered and welded corner
construction.
Screen Construction: The screen was constructed with formed aluminum. The corners
were square -cut and secured using plastic corner keys. -The, fiberglass mesh screen cloth
was held -in-place with a flexible vinyl spline. The plastic screen corners of a second screen
were perforated to permit drainage.

Installation: The unit was installed in a wood buck constructed of Spruce -Pine -Fir
construction lumber and secured through the jambs with. four #10 x 63.5 mm (2-1/2")
fasteners per jamb, and through the head with two #10 x 63.5 mm (2-1/2") fasteners. A
nominal 5 mm (3/16") gap was maintained at the perimeter between the buck and window
frame. The exterior and interior perimeter was sealed with a silicone sealant.

SCOPE:
This NOA is being issued under the applicable rules and regulations governing the use of construction materials.
The documentation submitted has been reviewed by Miami -Dade County Product Control Division and accepted
by the Board of Rules and Appeals (BORA) to be used in Miami Dade County and other areas where allowed by
the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
This NOA shall not be valid after the expiration date stated below. The Miami -Dade County Product Control
Division (In Miami Dade County) and/or the AHJ (in areas other than Miami Dade County) reserve the right to
have this product or material tested for quality assurance purposes: If this product or material fails to perform in
the accepted manner, the manufacturer will incur the expense of such testing and the AHJ may immediately
revoke, modify, or suspend the use of such product or material within their jurisdiction. BORA reserves the right
to revoke this acceptance, if it is determined by Miami -Dade County Product Control Division that this product or
material fails to meet the requirements of the applicable building code.
This product is approved as described herein, and has been designed to comply with the Florida Building Code,
including the High Velocity Hurricane Zone.

of 9, prepared by R. W. Building Consultants, Inc., dated 07/23/03'and last revised on 10-20-2005, singed and
sealed by Wendell W. Haney, P.E., bearing the Miami -Dade County Product Control Approval stamp with the
Notice of Acceptance number and approval date by the Miami -Dade County Product Control Division,
MISSILE IMPACT RATING: None: Approved Shutters complying w/ FBC, as applicable, is required
LABELING: Each unit shall bear a permanent label with the manufacturer's name or logo, city, state and
following statement: "Miami -Dade County Product Control Approved", unless otherwise noted herein.
RENEWAL of this NOA shall be considered after a renewal application has been filed and there has been no
change in the applicable building code negatively affecting the performance of this product.
TERMINATION of this NOA will occur after the expiration date or if there has been a revision or change in the
materials, use, and/or manufacture of the product or process. Misuse of this NOA as an endorsement of any
product, for sales, advertising or any other purposes shall automatically terminate this NOA. Failure to comply
with any section of this NOA shall be cause for termination and removal of NOA.
