SCOPE OF WORK:
Our work effort is to provide an access control system for Regency Oaks. This effort
consists of installing four (4) powder, coated, ornamental, aluminum swing gates with
motorized operators. A bi-parting pair — working in a master/slave configuration — will
be installed at the entrance and exit lanes. A telephone entry device will allow access to
visitors, while a radio receiver will allow access to residents. The effort to install
aluminum fencing at the clubhouse and pool consists of installing approximately 368
lineal feet of 5' high aluminum fence with three (3) 5' wide x 6' high pedestrian gates
with simplex locks. Fence panels will have three (3) horizontal rails with a smooth top
with row of circles on top. All panel and gate material will be welded. This system
contains all necessary control devices to ensure proper operation.

Siren -Operated Sensors
SOS - Fire/Police/EMS responders, open gates with siren's yelp in 3
seconds, hands free.
Mandate that your gates and communities be uniformly 911
"RESPONDABLE".
Fire marshals are asking installers to use this life and time saving device. It will open any
manufacturer's gate "hands-free". The siren of the fire truck or other emergency vehicle is all that is
needed to signal this unique SOS unit. It is the owner's obligation to provide access for emergency
equipment, it must be periodically tested and confirmed operational.
Thousands of SOS units are in use. We have not heard of a single instance of unauthorized entry.
Only a few locations needed the vehicle presence detector to arm the SOS. You can lower the
sensitivity enough to require the vehicle to be reasonably close to the gate.
The SOS is designed for non -directional use at gated compounds. Audio range: ten to one hundred
feet (dial adjustable). These units are mounted in an all weather enclosure (3x6x2 inches). Special
discounts for dealers and multiple orders. Full instructions are sent with the SOS, including an all
weather "FIRE, EMS, POLICE, hold sirens' YELP for SOS entry" decal to place at the controlled
site. A demo "yelp" tape is also sent with all orders.
The SOS is compatible with all gate operators.
Technical Specs
Basic Concept
The Siren -Operated Sensor (SOS) is designed to respond swiftly to the "YELP" mode of all standard
sirens. A reminder decal is provided to be placed on each entry gate. Responders already own their
siren. This device represents Public Safety without spending Public Funds. At this writing (2001), the
SOS is the nation's most widely used Uniform Emergency Gate Access.
Installation and Testing
Since all gate operators use 12 to 24 Volts AC or DC for their electronic controls, this source can
easily be used to power the mini requirements of the SOS. A demonstration "YELP" audio tape is
provided, along with instructions, with each SOS sold.
Technical Specifications
The Frequency response of the Siren -Operated Sensor is from 200 Hz to 10 KHz. The SOS relies on a
time -varying frequency input in this range. This, plus proprietary techniques, allows the
microprocessor to respond to the siren's "YELP" with a dry relay closure in 2.5 seconds.
. The SOS uses an omnidirectional microphone. Alignment is not necessary.
. Range of the SOS is adjustable - 5 to 50 feet or more. A potentiometer located on the PC board
provides this adjustability. The SOS is not affected by ambient light.
. The PC board is mounted in a 3.2" x 6.5" x 3.2" rain -tight enclosure.
. Weight is approximately 10 ounces.
. The power requirements are 12/24 Volts AC/DC with approximately 2.5 mA draw. Momentary
relay activation or switchable to a 10 -minute hold.

The SOS has a five-year warranty when installed according to the manufacturer's specifications.
