Thank you for your assistance in helping me with
the William's property on Third and Magnolia.
While I was fortunate in receiving the variance
which I requested I would like'to go on record
as saying that the existing parking ordinance,
a,s it pertains to office buildings in the City
of Sanford, seems unduely restrictive. If Sanford
is to meet its' responsibilities to its' citizens
it is important to place limitations on property
use within the city. At the same time, if Sanford
is to grow it is important that each piece of pro-
perty be allowed to be developed for its' highest
and best use. The existing 'parking requirements
for office buildings in Sanford would seem to pro-
hibit future use of some very desireable property.
I hope you and the other city officials of Sanford
will accept my opinion in the constructive vein
in which it is offered.
