Any open burning in Seminole County usual comply with Florida Administrative Code 62-256.700 (1) (c)
Oren buming allowed
1) Open burning to reduce yard trash and household paper products will be allowed provided la1the
following conditions are met
1. The open burning is three hundred (300) feet or more from any occupied building other than that
owned or leased by the individual doing the burning.
2. Must be One hundred (100) feet or more from any public highway or road
3. Must be at )cast Sfty (50) feet from any residence where the burning is being conducted.
4. Must be at least twenty five (25) feet from any woodlands, forests, or brush.
5. Must be in a non-combustible container or ground excavation covered by a metal mesh or grill.
6. The open burning is attended and adequate fire extinguishing equipment is readily available at all
times.
7. The open burning does not produce smoke, soot, odors, visible emissions, bat, flame, radiation,
or other conditions to such a degree as to create a nuisance.
Fires to be ignited after 9:00 a.m. and is extinguished one hour before quail providing that no visible
smoke will be allowed over any adjacent residence or over the road that would cause a nuisance.
Complying with the above requirements does not relieve any person from complying with any other
applicable laws, rules and ordinances, including Chapter 590, Florida Statutes, and rules of the Division of
Forestry.
A site inspection will be required by Sanford Fire prevention prior to any burning.
Applicants must call the Division of Forestry at 407-8564511. Seminole County Communications at 407- 665-5100 and
Sanford Fire Prevention at 407-302-2520 each day prior to start-up. C Land Jeanne

Open burning of wooden material or v%mtion generated by a land clearing operation is allowed
provided that all the requirements tp=Wwd in section 51-2 of The Division of Forestry rules and regulations
are met (please we attacbed). Applicant mist pay $
100.00 permit fee prior to site inspection. Complying with the
above requirements does not relieve any person from complying with any other applicable laws, rules
and ordinances, including Chapter 590, Florida Statutes, and rules of the Division of Forestry. A site
