NOTICE TO PURCHASER
Do not sign this contract before you read it. Do not sign this Agreement if blank. You are entitled to a copy of this Agreement at the
time You sign it. You should keep it to protect your rights. This agreement may contain a mortgage or otherwise create a lien on
your property that could be foreclosed on if You do not pay. Be sure You understand all provisions of this Agreement before You
sign it. Do not sign any Completion Certificate or agreement stating that you are satisfied with the entire project before this project
is complete. Law prohibits home repair contractors from requesting or accepting a Completion Certificate signed by the owner
prior to the actual completion of the work to be performed under the contract.
You may cancel this transaction at any time prior to midnight of the third business day after the date of this contract. See Notice of
Cancellation for an explanation of this right. There will be a service charge equal to 25% of the contract amount if the job is
cancelled by Purchaser AFTER the third business day.

Project Summary: Architectural Testing, Inc. (ATI) was contracted by Simonton Windows to
witness performance tests on a Series/Model 07-70, PVC horizontal sliding window at their test
facility located in Pennsboro; West Virginia. The sample tested successfully met the
performance requirements for an HS -R50 105 x 51 rating. Test specimen descnption and, results
are reported herein.
Test Specification: The test specimen was evaluated in accordance with AA.MAINWWDA
101/I.S 2-97, Voluntary Specifications for Aluminum, Vinyl (P.VC) and Wood Windows and Glass
Doors.

Glazing Details: The sash and fixed lite were glazed with I" thick sealed insulating glass
fabricated with two 1/8" clear annealed sheets separated by a steel spacer system. The
insulating glass was set from .the exterior against a double -sided adhesive tape and secured
with single leaf, dual durometer vinyl glazing beads.
Frame Construction: The PVC frame was assembled using mitered and welded corner
construction. Rigid PVC roller tracks were applied to the sill. The center fixed sash was
fastened to the head and sill using four molded plastic blocks, one at each sash conger. Each
block was fastened with one screw into the sash and two screws into the frame.
Sash Construction: The PVC sash were assembled using mitered and welded corner.

Screen Construction: The. screen was constructed from extruded aluminum: The corners

Installation. The window was installed into a wood buck constructed of
Spruce -Pine -Fir construction lumber. The unit was sealed with silicone caulking at the
exterior and interior perimeter with the exception of an approximate 6" void at each interior
sill corner The unit was secured to the buck using four #8 wood screws, one at the top and
bottom of each jamb (embedded 1-U2" into the wooden test buck).

1. This system has been evaluated for use in locations adhering to the Florida Building Code
and where pressure requirements as determined by ASCE 7 Minimum Design Loads for Buildings
and Other Structures do not exceed the design pressure ratings listed herein.
2. For installations where the sub -buck is less than 1-1/2" (FBC section 1707.4.4 Anchorage Methods
and sub -sections 1707.4.4.1_ and 1707.4.4.2) Tapcon .type .concrete, anchors must be. used and the -
length must be such that a minimum 1-1/4" engagement of the Tapcon into the masonry wall is obtained.
3. In the step down application, fill the anchoring screw holes with silicone prior to installing the anchoring screws.
After the screws are installed, cover each screw head with silicone. Once the screws hove been covered with
silicone, cover the screw access hole with an installation cap or Simonton approved sealant tape.
4. All interior and exterior perimeter surfaces of the window must be caulked.
5. See Manufacture's Installation Instructions for additional hardware anchoring if required.
6. Adjust Tapcon anchor locations, if necessary, to maintain a minimum 2.0" clearance from mortar joints.
7. When the optional Head Expanders ore used the Installer Must Adiust the anchor length to maintain the
required minimum embedment into the substrate.

Project Summary: Architectural Testing, Inc. (ATI) was contracted by Simonton Windows to
witness performance tests on a Senes/Model 07-70, PVC horizontal sliding window at their test
facility located in Pennsboro, West Virginia. The sample tested successfully met the
performance requirements for an HS -R50 73 x 51 rating.. Test specimen descriptions and results
are reported herein.
Test Specification. The test specimen was evaluated in accordance with AA__1A/N*W`WDA
101/1 S..2-97, Voluntary Specifications for Alurmnum, Vinyl (PVC) and Wood Windows and Glass

was secured to the buck using four #8 wood screws, one at the top and bottom of each jamb
(embedded 1-1/2" into the wooden test buck).

4. See Manufactures Installation Instructions for additional hardware anchoring if required.
5. Adjust Topcon. anchor locations, if necessary, to maintain a minimum 2.0" clearance from mortar joints.
6. When the optional Head Expanders are used the Installer Must Adjust the anchor length to maintain the
required minimum embedment into the substrate.
