The drawings were completed in accordance with the Florida Code, in which it states that the manufactures' are responsible for how their products are anchored into the substrate that is adjacent to the product. In the case of the use of a 2 -by buck to 2 -by buck, or 2 -by buck to masonry, it is the responsibility of other entities to detennine the proper anchorage of the 2 -by buck to the additional substrate that does not come into contact with the window. We have provided this additional information—in this case a masonry substrate—for reference only. Please, refer to the figure below for additional clarification. Sincerely, Heman M.O. Stucco and other similar information are only intended for reference --it is not intended to state that this is the only way one can finish a window. The use of stucco in this drawing not part of the product certification nor is the method showin in which the buck is anchored to the substrate. However the anchorage method of the window to the buck, was part of the product certification and therefore must be followed as shown, to include the use of silicone where depicted. The method used to anchor the buck to the structure, according to the Florida Code is NOT the responsibility of the windo%.%l manufacturer, it is the responsbility of the associated building_ expert to determine. 2 -by to 2 -by is a common and well accepted method by the industry.
