HomeMy WebLinkAbout3741 ORDINANCE NO. 3741 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, TO ANNEX WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, UPON ADOPTION OF SAID ORDINANCE, 14.88+ ACRES OF PROPER'I'Y LYING BETWEEN S.R. 46 AND MOORES STATION ROAD AND BETWEEN CAMERON AVENUE AND BEARDALL AVENUE; IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION PROVISIONS OF SECTION 171.044, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. ~ WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Sanford, Florida, '~ a petition containing the name of the property owner in the area described hereinafter r./~, requesting annexation to the corporate area of the City of Sanford, Florida, and requesting to be included therein; and WHEREAS, the City staff having certified that there is one property owner in the  area to be annexed and that said president of the property owner had signed the Petition o for Annexation; and ro WHEREAS, it has been determined that the property described hereinafter is r~ reasonably compact and contiguous tothe corporate areas of the City of Sanford, Florida, ro and it has further been determined that the annexation of said property will not result in the i creation of any enclave; and ~ WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, Florida, is in a p0,siti0n to pr~vi',d~e, ~HniCipal services to'the property described herein, and that the City Commission, o~ the Ciiy of Sanford, Florida, deems it in the best interest of the City annex said property. Eli BK Q~58~ PG CLERK' S ~ BY L ~inley FILE NUN 2002939487 OR BOOK 04520 PAGE 1315 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the property described below, situated in Seminole County, Florida, be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of Sanford, Florida, pursuant to the voluntary annexation provisions of Section 171.044, Florida Statutes: SEE ATTACHED LEGAL DESCRIPTION SECTION 2: That upon this Ordinance becoming effective, the property owners and any residents on the property described herein shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges and immunities as are from time to time granted to residents and property owners of the City of Sanford, Florida, as further provided in Chapter 17I, Florida Statutes, and shall further be subject to the responsibilities of residence or ownership as may from time to time be determined by the governing authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions of said Chapterl 17!, Florida Statutes. SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or part of this Ordinance. SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
