AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA
AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 3844 PERTAINING TO
EXCLUSIONARY ZONES FOR PERSONS ARRESTED OR
CONVICTED FOR CRIMINAL OFFENSES RELATING TO
PROSTITUTION, THE SALE OR USE OF ILLEGAL DRUGS
OR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES AND RELATED
OFFENSES; PROVIDING FOR FINDINGS; AMENDING THE
MAP AND DESCRIPTION OF THE WESTSIDE
EXCLUSIONARY ZONE; PROVIDING FOR A REVISED
DESCRIPTION OF WESTSIDE EXCLUSIONARY ZONE;
PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY,
CONFLICTS, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford desires to amend the limits
of the Westside Exclusionary Zone created, described and depicted in Ordinance Number
3844; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford hereby ratifies and affirms the
findings made in and the enactment of Ordinance Number 3844 subject to the amendment
made herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. LEGISLATIVE FINDIN~-~ The above recitals set forth in the preamble
of the Ordinance are hereby adopted as legislative findings by the City Commission.
SECTION 2. AMENDMENT OF MAP PERTAINING TO WESTSIDF
EXCLUSIONARY ZONI= The provisions of Section 7 of Ordinance Number 3844 are
amended by replacing the map attached to Ordinance Number 3844 as Exhibit "A" pertaining
to the Westside Exclusionary Zone referred to in Section 7(a)(2) of Ordinance Number 3844
with the attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit "A" which Map is incorporated herein by this
reference thereto.
SECTION 3: CODIFICATION. It is the intention of the City Commission of the City
of Sanford, Flodda that the provisions of this Ordinance shall not become and be made a part
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sanford, Florida except that the Map as described
in this Ordinance shall replace the Map of the Westside Exclusionary Zone referred to in
Section 7(a)(2) of Ordinance Number 3844.
SECTION 4: SEVERABILITY If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance
proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity,
force or effect of any other action or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 5: CONFLICTR All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 6: EFFECTIVE DATF
immediately upon passage and adoption.
That this Ordinance shall become effective
