AN ORDINANCE OF THE CIi~ OF S~NFORD,
FLORIDA, PRESCRIBING RATES TO BE
CHARGED FOR WATER FU~]~TI~'~D ~¥ ~

BE IT ENACTED BY TH~ PEOPLE OF TH~ CIl~ OF S~NFORD, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That water furnished by the City of
Sanford, Florida, shall be paid for upon the basis of a
minimum of k,000 gallons of water furnished monthly to each
user of water, whether said amount be used or not.
Section 2. That water furnished by the City of
Sanford, Florida, shall be paid for monthly by the users there-
of according to meter measurement at the following rates:
For the first 4,000 gallons of water used,
56 3/k¢ per each one thousand gallons.
For the next 6,000 gallons of water used,
35¢ per each one thousand gallons or
fraction thereof.
For all over 10,000 gallons of water used
and not exceedin¢ 50,000 gallons, 30¢ per
each one thousand gallons or fraction there-
of.
For all over 50,000 gallons of water used
and not exceeding 100,000 gallons, 25¢ per
each one thousand gallons or fraction there-
of.
For all over 100,O00 gallons of water used
and not exceeding 250,000 gallons, 15¢ per
each one thousand gallons or fraction there-
of.
For all over 250,000 gallons of water used
and not exceeding 500,000 gallons, 1~¢ per
each one thousand gallons or fraction there-
of.
For all over 1,000,000 gallons of water used,
12¢ per each one thousand gallons or fraction
thereof.
Provided that the minimum charge for water
furnished shall be $2.27 per month.
Section 3. That the foregoing rates shall be charged
for all water measured by meter readings after October l, 1953.
Section ~. That this ordinance shall become effect-
ti?e October 1, 1953.
section 5. That all ordinances and parts of ordin-
ances in conflict herewith, including specifically Ordinance
No. ~0 of the City of Sanford, Florida, pa~sed and adopted
September 27, 19~8, prescribing rates to be charged for water
furnished by the City of Sanford, Florida, and the time for
payment of said rates, be, and the same are hereby, repealed.
