AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
DETERMINING THE AMOUNT AND FIXING TPKE P~ATE
OF TAXATION AND IIAKING THE ANI~JAL TAX LEVY
OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, FOR THE YEAR
1953.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the amount determined necessary to be
raised by taxation in the City of Sanford, Florida, for the year
1953 for the ordinary purposes of the ~icipali~y ~d the Depart-
ment of Debt Service is ~h~ s~m of $239,650.00.
SECTION 2. That the millage for the year 1953 to be as-
sessed upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all the tax-
able property, except Homesteads to the assessed value of $5,000.00
or less, within the corporate limits of the City of Sanford, Flor-
ida, is hereby fixed at 13.5000 mills, to be allocated as follows:
Department of General Government 7.0000 mills
Department of Debt Service 6.5000 mills
SECTION 3. That the millage for the year 1953 to be as-
sessed upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all Homesteads
to the assessed value of $5,0~0.00 or less within the corporate
limits of the City of Sanford, Florida,

the year 1953, upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all
taxable property within the corpor~ liJnit~ of the City of San-
ford, Florida, a tax of 5.8473 mills for the purpose of realizing
a sum sufficient to pay interest coupons nmturing March l, 1954,
and September l, 195~, on Refunding Bonds Series A, of the City
of Sanford, Florida, dated March l, 1937, and maturing September
l, 1977, and to create a Sinking Fund for the purchase or acquir-
ing of bonds of said Series ~; a tax of .S101 mills for the pur-
pose of realizing a sum sufficient to pay interest coupons matur-
ing Narch l, 195~, and September l, 195~, on Refunding Bonds Ser-
ies C, D, and E, of the City of Sanford, Florida, dated ~arch l,
1951, and maturing September l, 1977, and to create a Sinking Fund
for the purchase or acquiring of bonds of said Series C, D, and E;
and a tax of .1~26 mills for th® purpose of realizing a sum suf-
ficient to pay outstanding notes, contracts and interest thereon
maturing during current fiscal year.
SECTION 6. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the s~me ~re hereby repealed.
