HomeMy WebLinkAbout589 ORDINANCE NO. __- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA CREATING AND ESTABLISHING A DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, PROVIDING FOR A DIRECTOR THEREOF, ESTABLISHING THE STRUCTURE THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR THE DUTIES OF SAID DIRECTOR. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That there is hereby created and established within the administrative structure of the City of Sanford, Florida, a Department of Finance, the purpose of which is to consolidate and coordinate all of the financial and revenue operations of the City of Sanford, Florida. Said Department of Finance shall include therein the o~fices of City Clerk, Tax Assessor, City Treasurer, Clerk o~ Bond Trustees, and City Tax Collector. SECTION 2: There is hereby created the office of Finance Director in the City of Sanford, Florida, said Finance Director to be in charge of the aforesaid Department of Finance. It shall be the duty of said Finance Director to supervise the Department of Finance, supecvise and coordinate all of the functions of the aforesaid offices included within said Department of Finance and to supervise the financial operation of the utility department of the City of Sanford, Florida. SECTION 3: All ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 4: This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
