AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA AMENDING SECTION i0-1, THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, 1954,
SAID SECTION PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION
OF FIRE PREVENTION CODE, SAID AMENDMENT
PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION OF FIRE PREVENTION
C ODE DATED 1956.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 10-1 of The Code of the City of
Sanford, Florida, 1954, said Section providing for the adoption of
Fire Prevention Code, be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
SECTION 10-1, Adoption of Fire Prevention Code: For
the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions
hazardous ro life and property from fire or explosion, that
certain Code known as the Fire Prevention Code, recommended
by the National Board of Fire Underwriters, being particularly
the 1956 addition thereof, except wherein such Code is in conflict
with Florida Statutes 1955, Sections 633.01 to 633. ~, and rules
and regulations prescribed by the State Fire Marshal, and of
The Southern Standard Building Code, is hereby adopted and
incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. Not less
than three copies of such Code have been and are now filed
in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon its passage and adoption.
