HomeMy WebLinkAbout1067 ORDINANCE NO. 1067 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTIONS 23-8, 23-9, 23-10, 23-11 and 23-12, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, SAID SECTIONS ESTABLISHING A TAX ON CHARGES TO UTILITY USERS AND THE METHOD OF COLLECTION AND PAYMENT THEREOF, SAID AMEND- MENTS ADDING THERETO FUEL OILS WHEN PURCHASED OR USED AS A UTILITY. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Sections 23-8, 23-9, 23-I0, 23-11 and 23-12, The Code of the City of Sanford, Florida 1954, as amended, be and the same are hereby amended by including therein where appropriate: "fuel oils when used as a utility" as an additional utility subject to taxation and methods of collection as provided in Said Sections, as amended. SECTION 2. The incidence of said tax shall be applied ro the first ensuing meter reading or service period, as the case may be, after the effective date of this ordinance as hereinafter provided. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective October 1, 1972.
