AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 14, SECTION 14-1
THEREOF, PERTAINING TO THE ISSUANCE
OF OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES, THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, 1954,
AS AMENDED, SAID AMENDMENT REQUIRING
PAYMENT OF ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES
AS A CONDITION PRECEDENT TO ISSUANCE OF
SUCH LICENSE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 14, Section 14-1, pertaining to
the issuance of occupational licenses, The Code of the City of Sanford,
Florida, 1954, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Sec. 14-1. License required; issuance.
No person shall engage in any of the occupations,
businesses or professions set out in section 14-13
of this Code, in the city, unless and until the license
tax therefor prescribed, shall have been paid and a
license therefor shall have been procured from the
city tax collector, which said license shall be issued
by the city tax collector upon the payment of the
amount of the license tax required therefor, without
any additional charge or fee whatever, except as
hereinafter provided. Provided, however, as a
condition precedent to the issuance of such license,
the city tax collector shall require and the applicant
for license shall furnish evidence that all personal
property taxes theretofore levied and assessed against
the applicant have been paid, together with all interest,
penalties or other charges in connection therewith.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shah become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.

of the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, on the
10th day of August, 1965.
