AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA REPEALING SECTIONS 18-70 THROUGH
18-74, INCLUSIVE, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA, 1954, AS AMENDED, SAID
SECTIONS PERTAINING TO DEALERS AND SALES
OF SMALL ARMS, AND AMENDING CHAPTER 18,
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
1954, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING THERETO
SECTION 18-70, PROVIDING FOR DEALER
REQUIREMENTS IN THE SALES OF SMALL
ARMS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION i. That Sections 18-70 through 18-74, of Chapter
18, The Code of the City of Sanford, Florida, 1954, as amended, be
and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. That said Chapter 18, The Code of the City
of Sanford, Florida, 1954, as amended, be and the same is hereby
amended by adding thereto the following Section:
"Sec. 18-70. Dealers in small arms.
"Every person selling pistols, revolvers or
other small firearms which may be concealed upon
the person shall keep a registry or record of such
sales in a book, which shall be open during business
hours to inspection by the chief of police, or any
official designated by him. Such registry or
record shall show the name and address of the
purchaser of such firearm, together with a
description of the kind, make, number and
name of the manufacturer of such weapon."
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
